I’m now officially done with book design. Tomorrow will be hell with 2 exams and 1 portfolio, but after that I just have 1 more exam next week. And then I’m free, and all will be good for awhile — especially if LJ ever calls me back about whether I can get a kitty or not (Russ told me he said something about not wanting any more pets, but maybe he’ll be nice & let me since I’m already here).
It’s really windy today, and after classes I walked home to find this huge sheet of plastic piled in my yard. I had no idea what it was for or where it came from, but after inspecting it for a few seconds I dragged it over to the trash can … next to which I found a dead squirrel that was probably caught by the stray cats. Joy lol.

Like my cable/internet bill needs to be any higher — Comcast is taking over Adelphia here, and in the process are raising the cable price by $3. I know that doesn’t seem like much, but it’s gonna add up. Blah.
Since when have there been white chocolate M&M’s? I found a single pirate-themed bag today in Kroger, and was like *squeee* and grabbed it. Too bad it’s a limited edition … I bet that bag was the last one in Harrisonburg. Why can’t they make at least one plain white chocolate candy and keep it? It seems everything is either dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or one of the two with nuts … and I can never find the Hershey’s version.
And I think the whole spinach scare is over — I got a salad with dinner and noticed the spinach was back as an option.

I’m literally forcing myself to write this. I haven’t blogged in about two weeks, and while yes, things have happened, I either don’t feel like writing about it, don’t think anyone would care, or don’t want the whole world reading. Maybe I should start using that password-protecting feature. I don’t want to stop blogging — ’cause once I blog a few times a week I’m motivated for a bit — but once I reach a slow point, it’s hard to get started again. Meh.
Aside from the 2-hour plane delay due to weather and too much air traffic between DC and La Guardia, Thanksgiving has been good. Finished my 42-page book for art history during the flight. Just got done with dinner, where I had my new favorite dish: marshmallow-topped sweet potatoes. And now I’m stealing someone’s wi-fi in a Brooklyn apartment
No idea what we’re doing tomorrow … maybe shopping? Like I need to spend any more money, but we’ll see what I come across.

Whyyyy does The Sims keep freezing? No matter how many times I restart, or let my computer cool off, or download the latest driver for my display (which I did months ago, but I don’t think it helped) … The Sims hate me
It worked a few days ago, but now I can’t play for more than 5 seconds and it’s annoying, especially since I don’t have anything to do tonight *sigh*
Edit: I got it to work, I just had to restart from scratch (i.e. delete the “EA Games” folder in My Documents) and lose my custom neighborhoods, families, etc. I actually think a file or two was corrupted — the “Caliente” family had been frozen for months.

Figured I should blog since it’s been over a week. Soo tired … did the whole late night/early morning thing. Glad it’s Thursday, though I’ll be happier once 6:15 rolls around. Also signed up for classes for next semester:
INDE 222: CAD I: Digital Design (MW 8 - 10:30 am) *sigh*
PHYS 121: Stars, Galaxies & Cosmology (MW 5:45 - 7 pm)
ART 354: Printmaking: Lithography (TTh 10:45 am - 1:15 pm)
MATH 103: Nature of Mathematics (TTh 2 - 3:15 pm)
GRPH 339: Web Design (TTh 4:15 - 6:45 pm)
So yay for no Friday classes again, and if I’m lucky I can find something to replace the 8 am that I can never seem to get away from. Which reminds me, need to change my major to studio art. And now it’s time to get ready for class …

We finally have the brand new iMac set up at work (mostly), and I get to use it!
It’s so pretty and fast, and opening up Gmail and seeing AJAX instead of HTML was a wonderful thing, as was being able to install Firefox (unlike another certain computer). Now I’m installing the Adobe Creative Suite and wondering what I should write on my timesheet for the hours I’ll be spending customizing this thing (2 so far).
Yay. I have a hunch I’ll be wanting one of these for Christmas ![]()
