Hate is a strong word.

Hate headaches that won’t go away.

Also hate that my fully-charged computer battery was drained 2 minutes after turning it on, which has never happened before. My laptop has been acting funny lately … re-installing my iPod and flash drive software, Firefox taking up a lot of my CPU, Gmail freezing Firefox, making me restart randomly … I’m worried ’cause my friend’s computer has an AIM virus that sent me a message along the lines of, “should I put these pictures of us on facebook or myspace?” and then some sort of link. I clicked on it and when a box came up asking what program I wanted to open it with, I got suspicious. At first I thought she might’ve made a typo (the extension was .pif, which is really close to .gif), but then I noticed the link was disguised and when I replied to the message she told me it was a virus. I’m hoping that since I didn’t tell it what program to use that it didn’t install itself, but I don’t want to have to download a virus checker to find out.

No love for Assessment Day.

Arrow Wednesday, February 1, 2006 @ 6:57 pm

I’m 2 frickin’ credits away from being exempt from Assessment Day, which conveniently happens to be on Valentine’s Day (at least classes are canceled). I’m annoyed ’cause I’ve heard of students who took just the right about of credits to bypass it, but I guess I didn’t do it quite right (not that I was trying to) … it’s just that 3 hours of a test on something with no relevance whatsoever to anything important kinda sucks. On the bright side, I’m not in the morning section.
