Too hot, Meebo.

Arrow Thursday, September 15, 2005 @ 10:50 pm

Today wasn’t any hotter than the past few days (high 80s), but I felt worse than before for some reason. Like I had to have my fan on and I didn’t feel like eating much for dinner and walking to class was hell … but not feverish hot. Even sitting on the couch for Friends was hot. Does what you eat (not including spicy foods ’cause I haven’t had any) have any effect on your body temperature? Maybe the lack of air conditioning was finally getting to me, but I doubt it since I’ve been fine since I moved in. Meh. I just hope tomorrow’s better :neutral:

If you’re ever caught somewhere where you need to get on AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, or MSN and can’t, Meebo has come to your rescue. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of regular AIM yet (it’s still in alpha), but it definitely works and will definitely come in handy.

Make the stars into a string of pearls.

Aw I love Hanson. Saw their college EPK and heard their Live & Electric podcast today from their new e-card, and it was just yay (if you haven’t seen their “Strong Enough to Break” trailer, definitely check that out too). Not to mention finally receiving my real, unopened Boomerang and MMMBop CDs in the mail!

I also can’t wait ’til metal class on Wednesday — a blacksmith from Harrisonburg is coming in to make a black metal rose, and from the look of the one already on the table, it’s gonna be awesome … I so want one. It kinda looked like this, except with more detail:

Black rose

Edit: WTF? Now the Boomerang and MMMBop CDs are selling for $50 less than what I paid (to the same seller) on eBay :mad:

UM round 7.

Arrow Sunday, September 11, 2005 @ 12:03 pm

This week’s words:

  1. Related :: Relatives.
  2. Soothing :: Lotion/oil, slow songs.
  3. Flashback :: Lightning, bad dream.
  4. Turmoil :: Hurricane Katrina, Africa.
  5. Immense :: Big.
  6. Guitar :: Isaac or Taylor.
  7. Nonsense :: Jumbled words.
  8. Blame :: Scolding a child.
  9. Childlike :: Funny, carefree.
  10. Duff :: Hilary, beer.

I would write more since I haven’t in like 4 days, but tough. Nothing much happened aside from class, driving home, and wishing I didn’t have to go to school tomorrow. Oh yeah, and being mad at eBay :neutral:

Averi.

Arrow Wednesday, September 7, 2005 @ 5:59 pm

Never heard of them, but Averi is opening for Hanson in Hampton Beach and so far I like them :) Didn’t have weaving today (I dropped it), and it feels so nice to not have three 2 1/2 hour classes back-to-back. Yay. Now I can do some drawing later and go to the lab tonight and not feel like crap. And everyone say hi to Chloe (one of my roommate’s kitties) who at this moment is looking at her picture on the computer screen lol:

Baskerville for free.

Arrow Tuesday, September 6, 2005 @ 10:14 pm

Just screwed up on a typography project and managed to fix it without leaving the house and going back to the freezing lab I just came from. Forgot to do these two certain formations with the Baskerville font and couldn’t use the fonts he’d given me in class ’cause I have a PC and couldn’t use the outlines I’d created earlier ’cause I don’t have Illustrator. So, I searched for and downloaded a free version of Baskerville, decided it looked close enough to the real version, made a couple quick formations in the converted PSD file in Photoshop, and now have something I hope meets his approval at 8 am tomorrow. Speaking of 8 am, I need to go to bed like now ’cause I haven’t gotten a decent night’s sleep in awhile …

Oh yeah, and I hate the bookstore and the office of the registrar. No one knows how to refund lab vouchers and it’s annoying :mad:

And the cycle continues.

Arrow Monday, September 5, 2005 @ 11:48 pm

Why is it that when I’m at school I miss Brian like crazy (like now), but when I’m at home over the summer I have to go a day or two per week without him to keep my life in order? *sigh*

Sometimes when all your dreams
May have seen better days
And you don’t know how or why
But you’ve lost your way
Have no fear when your tears are falling
I will hear your spirit calling
And I swear that I’ll be there
Come what may …

How I wish those words were true :cry:
