Last night it was maybe 50 degrees outside, and I was freezing (with the window closed). I had a comforter on my bed and was wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, yet every few hours I would wake up shivering (and too lazy to get my fleece blanket). I wonder when we’ll turn on the heat … and don’t wanna think about taking a shower since the window in there is open a crack to let the steam out lol. My point: you can never win with the temperature.

Today I was stupid and forgot my keys before methodology class, and was outside for a good hour before LJ was able to save me (thank god he was available and it wasn’t snowing or something). Note to self: make copies of your house & car keys and put them everywhere.

And wtf — Bevin was freaking here all that time — is he deaf? I knocked until my hands hurt and tried yelling his name and throwing pebbles at his window (most of which didn’t hit ’cause it’s on the second story), yet nothing happened so I assumed he’d walked to class or gotten picked up by a friend or something. Bah.

Jezabelle purrs really loud and has cat breath. Ew. LOL.

So, because of my brother’s 368 England pictures (which are now resized after taking up over 800 MB) and someone in New York City (probably my grandpa) downloading all of them, my site exceeded its 5 GB/month bandwidth limit for the first time this morning. I was surprised since Rus said I’d be fine, but luckily I sent him an email and within minutes my site was back up with a new limit of 6 GB. At least that part of JVDS doesn’t suck, but seriously, they have some work to do — I’d much rather be automatically billed an extra dollar for another GB of bandwidth than have my site go down (which should be an option in cPanel or Ubersmith or something). Grr

So my alarm doesn’t go off and I end up being an hour late to typography, but when I get there it’s deserted! We also had a project due, and this is the first time that everyone’s left before 9:15 (class ends at 10:30, and he’s not one to let us leave unless absolutely necessary). I don’t fucking get it, and it’s fucking annoying — now I have to go to his office hours before metals and hope that he’s there, hand in my project, and find out what happened with class *sigh* Stupid alarm clock volume being turned down all the way

Edit: He wasn’t at his office hours, so I emailed him, and all he said was that nothing’s due Wednesday and I can hand in my project and electronic files then. Sweet.

I also just figured out how to do batch processing in Photoshop, and I can’t believe I didn’t know it existed before. Yay.

My wrist still hurts, and it’s not carpal tunnel ’cause my fingers and hand are fine … the only part that hurts is the underside of my wrist whenever I bend it down or up (the neutral position is fine). So I dunno … I’ve gotten it before and it’s annoying, I just wish I knew what caused it. Maybe I should get a splint

Just spent 3 hours working on my metal exercise (not a project), and how much did I get done? Oh, about half. I hate fucking rivets. The standard ones didn’t want to hammer straight and the flush ones didn’t want to file right (especially with a hurting wrist) and after that I just said screw it and will attempt the tube rivets (the hardest of the three) on Sunday night even though all I’ll wanna do is sleep. I swear, that class and painting are gonna kill me. I can do typography and methodology since they’re mostly drawing and computer stuff, but this tedious, laborious, physical stuff is why art sucks *sigh*

I wish I could crawl into bed with Brian and forget about everything, but no. He’s 2 hours away partying with his new friends, and I have to wait through the drive home and Renn Faire and whatever else tomorrow before that can even be contemplated.

Don’t know why I’m so pathetic

New version of Firefox is out — go get it.

Oh yeah, and I put up a new layout. Nothing fancy, but I was tired of the black and green. Still need to make the header less boring.
