Random playlist.

Arrow Thursday, December 9, 2004 @ 3:11 pm

Step 1: Open your Winamp or other MP3 player.
Step 2: Put all of your music on random.
Step 3: Write down the first 25 songs it plays, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 4: Wait for complaints about the esoteric nature of your MP3s.

  1. These Days “Only What You Need”
  2. A Perfect Circle “Judith”
  3. Billy Joel “The Entertainer”
  4. Linkin Park “Cure For the Itch”
  5. CD 8, Track 2 of Duke’s Mixes 1 - 8
  6. Gary Numan “Are Friends Electric (Leaetherstrip Remix)”
  7. VNV Nation “Tempest”
  8. Airborne “Speed”
  9. No Doubt “Oi to the World”
  10. Flickerstick “Sorry … Wrong Trajectory”
  11. Da Vinci’s Notebook “Face Like Billy Joel”
  12. Patty Griffin “Change”
  13. New Found Glory “Forget My Name”
  14. Count the Stars “Saving Myself”

Dream weaver.

Arrow Wednesday, December 8, 2004 @ 6:41 pm

I had a dream last night that someone was trying to kill me. All I remember is I was in a tall apartment building with some people and my stuff (like my bed and computer) kept disappearing. I was looking out the window at something in the night, I think it was a person’s shadow in a red car. I hear this awful scream from something (not someone) fall over me, and I wake up just before the killer strikes. Haven’t had a dream like that in awhile … maybe never?

Jessica’s profile currently consists of the following … thought it was pretty true and can definitely relate to some:

10 Signs Of Semester Burnout

1. You’re so tired you answer the phone, “hell.”

2. Mom calls and you scream, “get off my back, b****!”

3. When parents ask about grades you sing Cookie Monster’s song, “C is for cookie, that’s good enough for me … ”

4. You start showering after class rather than before.

5. You’ve forgotten how to pee.

6. Instead of studying, you calculate what grade you need to get on the final to pass the class.

7. You sleep more in class than at home.

8. You leave for a party and bring your bookbag.

9. Visions of the weekend help you make it through Monday.

10. You think about how relaxing it would be if you were in jail right now.

Hehe excellent.

I just got $100 back for my books! Not to mention the $20 from a few days ago and the 6 I still have! All I can say is wow, I so wasn’t expecting more than $75, tops. My art history book was the most, giving me about $40 — at least something from that class is beneficial lol. And now I’m free to relax until Friday, when I have my last two exams. Then it’s home for a month … I wish I could speed up time. Speaking of which, my dad says he has work for me to do at the office, which equals even more money. Score. Now I won’t be broke (I hope) after Christmas

Oh yeah, and the actual exam wasn’t too bad. Half the images were from classes I’d missed, so I dunno if I got the meaning of them right … but then again, memorizing 60 images (with the artist, title, date, location, style, and significance) when only 14 will be on the test is pretty stupid, if not impossible. But I think I definitely did better than the midterm, since I knew most of the titles, styles, and locations. My mind went blank on like half of the artists for some reason, but eh … if I screwed up and I’m lucky, he’ll curve it.

Blue Christmas …

Arrow Tuesday, December 7, 2004 @ 12:07 am

New layout! I know it’s not really dark, but I’ve been in a Christmas/winter mood, especially since I already made a holiday layout for weirdncrazy.com. So yeah. What do you think? By the way, the font I used for the title has a cool name: Caeldera

Happy 17th birthday to my brother. Man he’s getting old.

Human rights.

Well, just had my first exam. The professor showed up 5 minutes late and I didn’t know one or two of the ID questions, but oh well. The questions and essay took up all 4 pages of my blue book (plus some of the back cover), so I hope I didn’t leave anything out. It was kinda repetitive being based solely on the textbook (as opposed to notes) and various movies, but eh … it’s over, and that’s all I care about.

Next is statistics at 4, and I have 3 hours before going to study at Doron’s since he actually understands stuff and hopefully knows what’s gonna be covered. Taking a nap until then sounds like a good idea, especially since I got up at 6:30 and didn’t sleep too well …

Edit: Decided to wait and take statistics on Friday since covering 10ish sections in 1 1/2 hours sucks. Sleeping in tomorrow will be nice, then I just have to memorize art history paintings. Nothing on Wednesday and Thursday should give me enough time to finish the Minotaur book, go over labyrinth, and figure out stat. Gah, finals were never this hard before. Is it break yet? And why did Brian stay up until 5:20 this morning? Blah …

In the news.

Happy December. A couple interesting articles:

- $10,000 Martini comes with a single piece of ice
- Human Test: Novel Vaccine Stops HIV

The first one I want despite my dislike of strong drinks  The second? I just hope everyone who needs it gets it … and that they come up with something like it for Alzheimer’s soon.
