Meh.

Really tired, dunno why. My back hurts. Somehow finished all my homework for tomorrow. Except animation, but that’s due Tuesday. Can’t believe I’m driving home again tomorrow night, and then back after court the next morning. Blah. And Shaune’s here tonight, but no way I’m going out, I wouldn’t be any fun, and can’t miss class. I’m kinda nervous about court, I’m so gonna freeze up when the judge addresses me — pretty much how I did when I got pulled over *sigh* Next time I’m paying the fine. Passed by a speed trap tonight going 80, but nothing happened … my speedometer isn’t always right, so maybe it’s lower than what it says. My dad says the county decal for my car should be coming in the mail soon, and they don’t enforce it ’til November 5th. Yay I guess.

I did something stupid last night. I clicked on a free 40GB iPod ad, thinking it was something legitimate like the freeipods.com 20GB deal, especially ’cause it was sponsored by AOL and eBay and other companies. Boy was I wrong. A page came up saying I had to complete 2 of the following options, so I chose to make a new account on eBay and bid on something and sign up for the Columbia House 5 DVD’s for $0.49 each thing. It totaled to about $10 after shipping and handling.

On eBay I bid on an iPod mini, ’cause usually things like that go fast and someone almost always bids in the last 10 seconds of the auction. Since I’d bid with 4 hours left, I figured I’d be fine. Bad decision. Apparently no one bid after me, so in the morning when I check my computer and see my name as the winning bidder, I’m speechless. Like fuck, no you didn’t. So now I’m stuck with paying $322 for a mini I don’t want. I know, yell at me. All you want. I deserve it. Maybe I’ll sell it back on eBay, ’cause I have way more than 4GB of music on my computer. Then again, it comes with everything, including a case, remote control, and dock, which is good … but then I’ll have no money once my purchases from the weekend go through: $55 at Wal-Mart, $15 for gas, $3 for McDonald’s, $10 for Columbia House, and $322 for the mini equals $405, leaving me with a measly $37 in the bank. I hate being stupid  Maybe my dad will give me a check? *sigh*

Oh yeah, and after I’d done those 2 things, I clicked on the link to advance, thinking I was done. But no. It said I had to do 2 more options, at which point I wanted to scream. Just how many pages were there? By the time I’d finished all the stupid pages, I’d have already paid what the stupid thing was worth. Of all the scams in the world, I had to fall victim to yet another one.

Why the fuck is the internet so slow? If a page has to redirect, Firefox won’t let it, and there isn’t anywhere in the options that lets me turn it off. Aren’t Firefox upgrades supposed to fix problems, not start them? Now I can’t get to Gmail. Turning the firewall off didn’t help either.

I don’t like duckies anymore …
