Bah. I should really quit Vector … it’s not fun (they made it seem that way in the beginning), you have to pay a total of about $350 (that’s an iPod!) for sample knives and conference costs, getting people to listen to an hour-long, scripted demo is stupid, you have to call the office like every day, and most importantly, I’ve realized that marketing is just not for me. That’s what life is all about, right? I might even quit as soon as tomorrow … and if they give me any crap about it, they can go to hell.
Hmm … what else was I gonna say. Saw I, Robot tonight, which was pretty good — I want my own robot now
Blogger’s new look for creating a post sucks … need to get my hair trimmed … call Randstad and Manpower for a job that’s actually worthwhile … get a new hosting service … and start going to the gym again. One of the random guys that keeps IMing me on Yahoo said I looked like a model, but I know I don’t, so need to get over there. If anything, I need to lose the ten or so pounds that I gained at JMU
And wtf is wrong with my Mozilla? I’ve restarted twice, yet it keeps giving me those annoying “firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close” messages. Plus, Blogger won’t publish, so I guess it’s back to IE until stuff works itself out. Grr.

Yep, it’s another layout. It’s pretty much done, so what do you think? Good? Bad? Ugly? My comments are calling you … answer them
Saw Farenheit 9/11 tonight. It was the opposite of what I was expecting — anything but humor — but oh well. Then my eyes started to hurt (’cause of my glasses) towards the end … the whole movie is basically Michael Moore telling us how much he hates Bush, why we should too, and how the Bush and bin Laden families are related. However, the amount of research that must’ve taken place is impressive, so at least give him that.
I saw deer in my neighborhood for the first time today. Two adults and two baby deer (aww) were crossing the street, and then did it again after I drove by. I can’t believe they live in the two little patches of forest that we managed to keep from getting bulldozed
Anyway, I’m tired, and can actually sleep in tomorrow if I so choose. Score. Vector better not wake me up.

WTF. The one night when I actually stay home and chill ’cause I have to get up early, I fall asleep with the light on, wake up at 5 am, and then proceed to get ready for bed, put away my laundry, get distracted by the net … and here I am. Blah, why do I keep doing this? I was all about trying to get a good night’s sleep for once, be more responsible and “perfect,” and then I go and do this … again *sigh* And now my alarm’s going off (Oprah got sued by Slim Fast?), which means shower time. Morning everyone
Maybe I should pick up a Red Bull on my way to the doctor’s.

I finally got glasses. I knew it was inevitable since everyone else in my family has them, but I’m proud of the fact that I was the last to get them lol. Even if I was kinda blind when driving, it’s all good now … just gotta get used to wearing them, which hopefully won’t take very long ’cause headaches and seeing close things out of proportion is annoying.
Speaking of annoying, Vector is eh so far. I’ve only done 2 of the 5 minimum demos needed by 12:30 pm tomorrow … which is partly my fault ’cause it’s frusturating to get everything out, explain stuff for an hour, and then leave with no sale and no recommendations. I wonder what happens if you don’t do your minimum … then again, it’s been frickin’ hard to find people. They’re either busy, not home, or I don’t know them well enough to justify calling out of the blue. I’ll give Brian a demo tomorrow morning, but besides that, I think I’m out of luck. Oh well. If this doesn’t work, maybe I can convince Nicole to let me work at Pac Sun for the rest of the summer?

Man, my life has suddenly accelerated to 1000 mph. But don’t worry, sometime soon (I hope) I’ll be able to write a worthy post, update my fanlistings, put up a new Universe layout, and make a couple more scans for weirdncrazy.com … among other stuff like doctor appointments, demos, and a couple hours of sleep. Oh yeah, and if you didn’t know already, I’m now a sales representative at Vector Marketing, a company that both works and parties hard. Hello caffeine, goodbye sanity! But I wouldn’t have it any other way ![]()

So I’m 20. And before I forget, here’s what I got:
Aunt Ann and Ed:
- pink Banana Republic shirt
Grandpa and Mary:
- Billy Joel’s Greatest Hits Volume I & II CD
- Gap gift card
- charcoal/money for art supplies
- journal
Ross:
- DC and northern VA road maps
Dad:
- money
Grandma:
- money
Brian’s parents:
- small wooden pot from Jamaica
Brian:
- biplane ride/airshow
I think I did pretty well, even if most of the stuff wasn’t on my sorry excuse for a list
But that’s okay, I can definitely use everything, and next year I’ll just put forth more effort.
How am I gonna sum up the past week and still go to bed at a somewhat-decent hour? Let’s see … don’t remember Wednesday … or Thursday … or Friday … or Saturday. I probably just hung out here, took Ross to his treatment, and helped Brian clean and put furniture together. Oh yeah, Nancy and Molly were here, so I hung out and had dinner with them.
And then came the big day. One of 2 big days, actually. La dia de independencia (if that’s even how you say it). Anyway, Grandpa and Mary came Sunday afternoon, and after lunch, a little reading, and dinner, we headed downtown for the fireworks. Brian and I drove separately since we had Oakenfold later, and on a whim decided to walk the 5-mile round trip to meet up with everyone. Luckily, we had perfect timing, and the fireworks started about 5 minutes after we got situated …
Bah, I’m tired … will finish this tomorrow. Night.
