Due to moving to a new server and hosting my own blog, comment system, and guestbook, things will be slow here for the next few days. Forms are also down, but everything else seems to be fine. If you find anything wrong, please let me know — I hope to have everything up and running again soon
Vacation details will come in a couple days. Have a good weekend!

Well the site’s now completely on the new server, yay! All I gotta do now is get rid of Blogger, fix the comments, and say goodbye to Hostway. Oh yeah, and pack for tomorrow — I won’t be back ’til late Friday night!
By the way, if you’re wondering, here’s what happened over the past few days: saw Catwoman, visited the new Air & Space Museum at Dulles, applied at Randstad, and cleaned ![]()

Just wanted to say that cool stuff has happened: I quit Vector, signed up for a Randstad interview on Monday, finally went to the gym, fixed the weirdnrazy.com Support page, and had my laptop picked up by Gateway yesterday. Hopefully I’ll get it back sometime next week. Oh yeah, and I applied for the “Crazy Beautiful” (song by Hanson) fanlisting
Aww, Mackie (my kittie) just sat in my lap. Yay.

I spent all of yesterday (from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm) driving Ross and my dad around in the van. Not fun (I hate big cars). Especially when it takes you a half hour to go ONE exit on 66 — something that’d usually take 30 seconds — because a stupid truck was flipped over. And we couldn’t listen to the traffic report beforehand ’cause my dad’s too lazy to get the broken radio fixed. Grr
I had a headache for the rest of the day, but oh well … Advil helped a little. At least I have my car back now.
I got a haircut (finally)! I can’t take a cam picture ’cause my laptop’s dead, but if it ever gets better, I’ll try to remember. Basically I got layers and 2 - 3 inches cut off … even though a trim, like I said more than once, would’ve been nice. Then again, I haven’t gotten a haircut in over a year, so what she did remove was probably all split ends.
I was gonna go to the gym this morning … but got distracted. So I’m thinking after I pick up Ross, take him to therapy, and go to the bank, I should have some time. If not, oh well … there’s always DDR.
Also need to call the staffing agencies and quit Vector. I’m surprised they haven’t called me, especially since I didn’t go to the team meeting last night … but screw them. I just want my refund. Speaking of which, I was watching Friends yesterday (don’t remember which episode), and Phoebe was trying to find a quick job to help pay for the triplets. Guess what she did first? Selling knives! They even looked like Cutco a little, and the demo was similiar. I was like, okay, that’s got to be a sign. Time for a new job.

Well fuck. On top of locking my keys in the car and feeling sick, I can now add a dead laptop to the list (I’m on the PC now). Don’t know why, but when I brought it over to Brian’s (for JVDS help), it decided not to start. Same thing happened at home tonight. The Gateway screen flashes briefly, then it’s back to black. I was pissed. So I called Gateway tech support and talked to this nice guy named Ian or Evan or something, who told me that I’ll have to send it in for repair for a cost of $299 (plus tax). Blah. How am I gonna live without my laptop for 2 weeks (or however long it takes)? My dad says the box will be here tomorrow, but I doubt it … the Ian dude said July 28th, and he probably knows best. Man, that 80 GB hard drive couldn’t have come at a better time — at least my MP3’s and videos are safe and sound.
Crap, Ross is sleeping the basement tonight, meaning I gotta go. I guess I could use a good night’s sleep, but then again, I just wish I could make everything okay by morning *sigh* Well, after checking email, I’m headed upstairs. Night everyone.

I locked my keys in the car again, except this time I did it with the engine still running. WTF is wrong with me? I had a system all worked out for my car (leaving the back door open), but since I never drive the van, why worry about it? There’s like a 1% chance for this to happen, especially on days when the Toyota’s in the shop. I feel really bad — I don’t even know HOW I managed to screw up like this, but oh well. At least Brian was able to save me …
I’m currently in the process of switching servers from Hostway to JVDS, so if anything starts to look weird, that’s why. I just wish I knew more about setting up a domain … I’m so lost
Why did Hostway have to make it so easy? At least now it’ll be cheaper.
I think I might be getting sick … right now I’m tired, have a headache, my stomach hurts … and am cold in my usually hot room. Blah.

I just closed my Skydiving, DJ Sammy, Caramel, and Rammstein fanlistings … leaving my first two of Gap and Solitaire ’cause I don’t get flooded with their submissions. Now I just need to find the motivation to add the 40ish new members total … maybe I should close them too? Nah, not yet … especially with Gap’s awesome new layout
Found out my dad’s getting knee surgery either this week or next … wonder how that’s gonna go. Apparently my mom had it too, but I don’t remember, so this will be a new experience. At least this time I can drive.
Also talked to my dad about quitting Vector, which he thinks is a good idea. I’m getting tired of having to pay for stuff — I just want a normal job, with a regular salary, that actually respects and pays for their employees. Too bad the economy sucks right now.
Ross and my dad went shopping for an external hard drive (80 GB) yesterday, which was needed since I only had half a gig left. Granted, it works fine with XP, which the directions said to use first if a Mac would also be using it … but when we tried to make it work with OS X, it said no way. WTF? We follow the directions exactly, and it decides to screw us. Maybe we’ll be able to reach customer service tomorrow (it was closed today).
