Random stuff.

Arrow Friday, June 11, 2004 @ 1:55 am

Okay, I’m liking this (the new and improved layout) a little better  What do you think?

Lots of random stuff happened today. Took the van to the car wash, got a new shower liner, pillow, and pillowcase at Bed Bath & Beyond, someone withdrew from Oxford’s summer program so now Ross is probably going to England to study physics for all of July (also found his wallet in the parking lot when I got home), witnessed a helicopter with a searchlight circling Brian’s house looking for a 10-year-old boy, and … except for me spending way too much time online today, that’s about it

Oh yeah, and Shaune got into both American University and George Washington University (where my mom went), so yay! But I have a feeling she’ll choose AU — she went to its freakin’ orientation before knowing her acceptance status lol.

I decided to try the Go Active Happy Meal from McDonald’s for dinner tonight, and it actually wasn’t that bad. Though the Stepometer isn’t the most high-tech or accurate gadget out there, it at least gives you an idea. Since about 9 pm tonight, it says I’ve walked 708 steps, so I guess that’s good. I also got a fiesta salad with salsa for dressing and a bottle of water. Surprisingly, it was enough … except later I had a chocolate milkshake and 2 chocolate chip cookies, so my attempt to be healthy kinda died

New layout … sorta.

Arrow Thursday, June 10, 2004 @ 6:03 pm

Yeah new layout … I know it kinda sucks (especially since the navigation links are missing), but oh well, I’ll try to fix it later tonight. But now I gotta go … leave comments or whatnot if you feel like it. Should I even have the sidebar on the right? Blah … it just doesn’t look complete. Maybe I need another set of lines.

Weight.

Arrow Wednesday, June 9, 2004 @ 8:11 pm

Why the fuck do I keep gaining weight? My eating habits haven’t really changed, I’m exercising almost every day … I don’t know what it could be and it’s really fucking annoying. I’m at like 155 now — a month ago I was at 140. This is ridiculous *sigh* Maybe I should just STOP eating … my body might listen to me then

Calling, Rooney.

Arrow Wednesday, June 9, 2004 @ 1:18 am

The new Calling album, Two, is awesome — maybe even better than their first. I need to see them in concert. Also got Rooney’s CD (’cause of their concert Friday night), the 2004 Warped Tour compilation, and eight *free* issues of Entertainment Weekly — just gotta remember to cancel my subscription after that

Watched Enemy Of The State tonight … it’s a cool movie, I just didn’t get half of it ’cause I didn’t see the very beginning. Oh well, there’s always next time. And then Brian and I made chocolate chip cookies

If only love could find us all
If only hearts didn’t have to fall
We can’t mislead to make things right
So instead we’ll sleep alone tonight

And if somehow fate were in my hands
Would it be enough to understand
Why we feel lost in world so small
If only love could find us all …

Jameson’s party.

Arrow Sunday, June 6, 2004 @ 9:17 am

Okay, so Doron and his people got lost on the way to Jameson’s (the directions were to take Glebe Rd. north, not randomly turn and go west!). But oh well. Brad, Neusha, and Brian still came, and it was fun! I got to catch up with Al from Yorktown, who amazingly still remembered me even though we hadn’t talked or seen each other for 5 years. Shaune, Jen, Willi, Shadia, Ariel, and Alice were also there, but that was about the extent of people I knew. Al’s friend Israel and Jameson were nice too, but most of his friends were annoying so didn’t really talk to them.

After a Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Smirnoff Ice, and half a Miller Lite, I was good  Until, of course, I passed out on the couch for 2 hours, only to wake up around 3 or 4 and find people leaving and the party dying. Brian thought I still wasn’t okay to drive, so after saying goodbye to the remaining few cool people, ended up (much to his dismay) spending the night at his house again.

Yesterday we slept in ’til about noon, then got up, made breakfast, watched TV, etc. I went home to shower and do some stuff, then came back for dinner and maybe skating, which didn’t happen ’cause cooking took forever. But that’s okay, we’re going today — yay for new $25 rollerblades!

Yay for people.

Arrow Friday, June 4, 2004 @ 8:10 pm

Yay: Brian, Doron, Nate, Jimmy, Brad, and Neusha are coming to Shaune’s party! Grr that Justin didn’t return my call, but oh well, his loss. I also finally went through my CD collection today and put all the CDs and tapes I no longer listen to in a bag. Then I let Ross go through the pile, ripped a few songs to my hard drive, and now am basking in the “yay I cleaned something” feeling  But, since the party starts in an hour or two, must go get ready — adios!

Justin, shopping, and a pink pill.

Arrow Thursday, June 3, 2004 @ 4:28 pm

Yeah … need to update. Let’s see. How is it Thursday already? I guess the week flew by without painting to worry about.

Tuesday night I saw Justin, which was fun. We met at Borders for coffee, then walked around talking and looking at DVD’s. I ended up getting Labyrinth so we could watch it later  For dinner we got this cool four-way pizza thing at Pizza Hut, which I definitely need to get again. We took my car to my house, said hi to the cats, and basically hung out the rest of the night. I showed him my skydiving video (which he wants to do sometime, yay), ate, watched Labyrinth, and afterwards I took him back to his car. I also learned that he likes hugs, ’cause I got like four

By the way, everybody download “Oh L’amour” by Erasure.

And then yesterday I went on a shopping spree! I got new rollerblades (for $25 at Wal-Mart — score), a new black leather chair from Staples, and a 128 MB mp3 player from Best Buy for $100 (with rebate). Sucks that a 1.5 GB one only costs $100 more, but oh well … I’ll put it on my birthday list. Speaking of which, there’s only a month until the big two-oh. What am I gonna do to cherish the last days of being a teenager?

Then today, didn’t do much except go to the doctor. There was no examination, we just sat and talked for half an hour. He put me on the one-time pill Diflucan, which I’ve already taken. Just hope it works, ’cause it WAS like $15. Gotta make a separate appointment with a separate ob-gyn for the pill, but ah well … hopefully my dad won’t ask too many questions about that.

In other news, Ross got home from school today, I somehow gotta teach him to drive stick this summer, my dad is skeptical about me quitting painting, and I just called Affinity, but the recruiting person or whatever wasn’t there, so I’ll try again tomorrow.

Now I must attempt to weed out my sucky discos compactos.
