Middle of nowhere party, CWP slacking.

Arrow Tuesday, May 18, 2004 @ 4:38 pm

Yeah haven’t posted in a couple days, but I’ve been BUSY! Let’s see if I can remember without writing a book …

Okay, Friday. Friday night was when Brian came back! I picked him up at National at about 1 am after being yelled at by some cop that it wasn’t okay to wait for your party by the baggage claim, you had to keep circling the airport. Stupid airport rules, but oh well, I only had to do like 5 laps. And now if anyone ever needs to fly American Airlines, I am your woman. Then I ended up spending the night ’cause I’m evil, but it was fun and worth it. I think I’ve spent more nights at Brian’s than my house since school ended lol.

Saturday … oh yeah. I think I went marketing for like an hour and got a lead from this nice lady who gave me 2 popsicles  Clients like her rock. Saturday was also Erica’s 19th birthday, which usually means p-a-r-t-y! But, sadly, it wasn’t as crazy as I was hoping. All we did was go to Meg’s, hang out for 10 minutes, go to some random girl’s house whose dad was helping mix drinks for like half an hour, and then set up camp at Erica #2’s house for an “after-prom party.” Hah.

Don’t get me wrong, Erica is cool, but her parties aren’t anything to brag about. Yeah, I liked seeing her and Stephanie again and the punk girl who looked so familiar, but standing around trying to make conversation with annoying high schoolers who don’t know their alcohol limit isn’t my idea of fun. So I kinda wandered around, exchanged a few words with people, kept an eye on the ones who couldn’t walk straight, and wondered how I was gonna get through the night without going crazy. But then after a few calls to Brian in attempt to pass the time, he decides to ride up on his mustang and save me  I was like *sigh* *swoon*, what did I ever see in anybody else? LOL. I ended up spending the night again

Sunday, we slept in, made bagels, potatoes, and bacon for breakfast, and I went marketing again, coming up with two leads in the process. I learned two things that day: people who live on golf courses are never home, and cicadas seem to like real homes instead of townhouses. Ew. But that’s perfectly fine with me. After spending about four hours working on painting stuff, having a quick dinner, and stopping by Blockbuster, I headed over to Brian’s to watch French Kiss, which I need to get the DVD of. When that ended, we just lay together in the dark, which was really nice ’cause I wasn’t feeling 100% happy. Around 2:30 I made myself drive home ’cause I had to get up in three hours.

And yesterday was painter training. Pulled myself out of bed around 6, took a shower and had breakfast, and out I went. Picked up Bob at his house and Doron and Nate at Vienna, and then somehow managed to make it to Fredericksburg in an hour. I’m so glad it was against rush hour, though we did have to sit on 66 for a bit. Training consisted mostly of introductions, payroll info, beating budgets, a sprayer presentation, video, and how to beat budgets. Did I mention beating budgets? LOL. We got out about two hours early, which was awesome since everyone was sleep-deprived and slept on the way back. It reminded me of that car commercial with the guy smiling ’cause his wife and kids are asleep with lights of the night passing by, and there’s happy music playing. I was like aww lol.

Blah, and I just had “the talk” with Seth … what last week resulted in was that I’m fired unless I do ten estimates this week and get up to $25,000 by the 31st. Hmm. Guess we’ll see what happens … and now I’m off to market … hopefully I won’t get attacked by cicadas *shudder*

Edit: What? I get MTV2 now? Score!

Hooters and drunk at Shadia’s.

Arrow Friday, May 14, 2004 @ 9:28 pm

Woah … Alanis Morissette cut off all her hair:

Alanis Morissette

She still looks good, but man, talk about a shock … there I was watching E! and a clip of “Everything” comes on showcasing her new look, and I’m like wtf? I kinda liked it long ’cause she looked my mom … but eh, I guess everyone changes eventually.

Now for last night: Jen, Jon, Shaune, Willi, Bob, and me go to Hooters in Fairfax for dinner, which was interesing. Our waitress had creepy blue eyes and waited on us a little *too* much, and towards the end, Shaune and Willi tried to give out each other’s numbers to random people. It was funny. And was also Bob’s first Hooters experience, which he said was different from what he expected *shrugs* Oh well.

We drive back to Arlington and hang out at Harris Teeter for a bit, trying to figure out what to do next. We meander inside, pick out drinks for Jon to buy, and luckily are able to find a place to party with a phone call to Shadia, who said we could use her apartment “unsupervised.” We were like score.

Once we’re finally all there (I had to take a detour ’cause my dad locked his keys in his car), we basically just sit there and chill, get buzzed, listen to music, and make prank phone calls. Willi’s lady friend comes over too, but not too much happens with that. She was cool, though. And Bob was a good pillow.

By the end of the night I’m gone, but knew when to stop so I wouldn’t get to the pass out and puke point lol. Need to erase my history of that. I had half a Smirnoff Ice and Smirnoff Ice Triple Black (which Bob described as the equivalant of Sprite and Sprite Remix), a Corona (Shaune’s favorite), and a green melon wine cooler. What can I say, I’m a lightweight. It was good, and by the time everyone left around 4, I was okay to drive! Well, maybe not entirely, but I made it home in one piece. I don’t even remember falling asleep — my head hurt too much.

Well, I surrendered and did it. I am now a Hanson.net member. Not that being a member is anything special, Nicole even told me it wasn’t worth it, but, like Brian says, it’s only money, and since I’ve been a fan for 7 years I figured I should at least check it out. And can’t complain about advanced tickets and the membership kit, which I should be getting soon. Crap, their email interface is the same one that CWP uses. Don’t wanna be reminded of that  In any event, my username is “rockinfree” so if you see me online, say hi.

In joy and sorrow my home’s in your arms
In a world so hollow it’s breaking my heart …

Hungover with ClubFM.

Arrow Friday, May 14, 2004 @ 5:59 pm

ClubFM is awesome, I can’t believe I stopped listening to it for awhile lol.

Anyway, haven’t done anything today, mostly ’cause of last night (which was fun!). Didn’t get to bed ’til around 6 am, woke up around 11, had some breakfast and watched TV, then went back to sleep ’cause my head wouldn’t stop hurting. Brian calls around 4 from the airport to update me on stuff, and now I’m just chilling in the basement listening to ClubFM and doing site stuff. I’ll update you on last night later

Cool night at Doron’s.

Arrow Thursday, May 13, 2004 @ 4:08 am

Yay, tonight was fun. After dropping off Brian, getting dinner at Subway, and making myself do painting stuff, I met Shaune at Jammin’ Java for coffee. I got a mocha frappe, which was pretty good even though they took like ten frickin’ minutes to make it. Then we found our way to Doron’s, using a much easier way than what MapQuest recommended. Stupid MapQuest — I never completely trusted them.

It wasn’t that big of a party since the only people there were me, Shaune, Jen, Doron, Nate, Eddie, and Alex. Tried to get Brad to come, but that failed, as usual. We basically hung around playing pool, darts, talking, chillin’ in the hot tub, and “feeling good” — Doron made us drinks, and Nate provided the herbal enlightenment, if you will

Speaking of guys, still haven’t heard from Bob. I called his house and left a message with his mom (I think) to call me, but dunno how reliable his parents are *shrugs* If I’m lucky I’ll talk to him tomorrow. There’s a carnival at Tysons I wanna go to, and if not that, Shaune, Jen, Jon, and everyone are going to Hooters. So I’ll probably end up doing one of the two.

Anyway, need to go to bed ’cause it’s almost 5 am, I’m tired, and shouldn’t sleep tomorrow away. Night!

Hallucinating, hyperventilating.

Arrow Tuesday, May 11, 2004 @ 3:27 pm

I’m worth $1,734,358 at HumanForSale. Could be worse I guess. How much do YOU cost?

Man … last night was definitely fun. After finishing this layout I went over to Brian’s, got stoned, had two Red Bull’s and ice cream, and slept through The Little Mermaid lol. I think it was the most I’d ever had ’cause I was like hallucinating and stuff. But it was fuuun

In the morning we went to IHOP, hung out in the sun for a little bit, and now I’m just chillin’ here, trying to avoid painting-related work at all costs *sigh* Why did I sign up for this? I should’ve listened to my conscience … or at least questioned it … like Dory.

Bloodlust.

Arrow Monday, May 10, 2004 @ 9:33 pm

Yes, another new layout, and I love it. Only thing I got left to do is update the Joined page, and then I’ll probably be off to make a new weirdncrazy.com layout instead of working lol. Man, I’m so slacking in that category, if Jed knew what I was doing he’d so fire me. Blah, but oh well … must do something tomorrow, both for my good and my JMU people *nods* Motivate me? Oh yeah, and if you didn’t know before, people without cell phones suck

New Blogger in CT.

Arrow Saturday, May 8, 2004 @ 11:45 pm

WTF? Oh yeah … new version of Blogger. Why do they have to keep changing it? This one just sucks even more. Bah.

Well, I’m in CT … on my brother’s laptop, which is somehow wirelessly connected *shrugs* Trip was okay, plane was completely full, watched tennis at Loomis for too long, took a long tour, then drove to have dinner with Grandma and Bob. Wasn’t that great, the service was slow, and it was cold outside (now raining). At least my grandma got a *cool* new car … and the refurnished Inn is awesome. My bed rocks, and I have my own bathroom. I also get to learn how to knit tomorrow, which should be fun … maybe it’ll keep my mind off other stuff.

Well, gotta go now … tired … see ya tomorrow
