Green lace and the flood.
Friday, April 23, 2004 @ 12:12 pm Yep new layout … I love the graphic. You like too? Speaking of which, as I was browsing Getty Images yesterday, I came across the following picture:

The girl has the exact same shirt that I do. I was like, hey, that looks familiar. Yay for Gap.
My new favorite song … “Die Flut” by Witt and Heppner:
Wenn ich in mir keine ruhe fuehl
Bitterkeit mein dunkles herz umspuelt
And the translation (courtesy Brian):
If I feel no peace
Bitterness washed over my dark heart
I only wait for the next day
Which awakes meIf darkness veils the clear view
No more satisfies the longing
I call the dream to me
That never fulfills itselfAnd you call into the night
And you beg for wonderful power
To live in a better world
But no better one comesWhen does the flood come over me
When comes the flood that calms me
When comes the flood that takes me away to a better life
SomewhereAll the time is quickly pulled by
Every trace of me flies like dust
Endlessly far floated
By an invisible handThere no star on the cold earth
Which burns only for me
Dull shining, as a fire at night
Which never passesAnd you look up to the sky
Swear at the stubborn passing of time
Make for yourself a world out of deceit and light
But it will be no differentAnd you call out to the world
That she does not please you any longer
You want a more beautiful one
But you will have no better

[…] I just find this song mesmerizing. I was curious, and googled the lyrics in English, as well, and they live up to the […]

I came across the song “Die Flut”, sung by Achim Reichel and Till Lindemann of Rammstein. I didn’t know that Till had sung the song. But it’s good. At first, I couldn’t imagine Till singing this song… But Till has his another charisma in this song.
