Every word I say.

Arrow Wednesday, March 31, 2004 @ 2:36 pm

I wanna go clubbing again. And skiing.

Finally got the “Penny & Me” single in the mail today. “Every Word I Say” is awesome, and the rest of the songs are eh ’cause I’ve listened to them too much already lol.

New episodes of South Park and Chappelle’s Show are on tonight … can’t wait. Just gotta get through Jed’s hour-long, business start-up meeting … whatever that is.

Miss the way that you shock shock shock me
Follow me to my house and then you rock rock rock me
Wanna see your eyes wide not sewed shut
The queen be cool don’t stop keep up
Living in the city can be dying if you don’t get a grip
Take a sip from my molotov mug
Wanna keep you from keeping you down
Pick yourself up off the ground …

Jed rant.

Arrow Wednesday, March 31, 2004 @ 12:03 pm

So Mr. Jed, you just went off on how we shouldn’t have to worry about CWP at all during the week and focus on school … yet you still schedule two to three meetings a week, send annoying emails pushing the “70% by Sunday” line, and keep telling us to call people, even those who explicitly said “leave us alone.” The MyNSG site sucks too — simply trying to update my info gives a 404 error, and if I edit a lead a certain way, it’s gone forever from the “Clients” tab. Also, some fucker in zip code 22031 (not 22030) illegally put up a lawn sign, and now I gotta go find it and take it down. Funny how everyone is blaming me, when it’s obviously not my area, I don’t put up signs without permission, and I’ve never even heard of the frickin’ address. Geez. This summer better go quickly.

In other news, I have a new affiliate: everyone go visit Toni, another Murderdolls fan. And Todd bought a domain, which now features an awesome Scream (the artwork, not the movie) layout — so go visit him too.

I need to de-crappify my CD collection via Plan 9 or the random music place in Clarendon … eBay isn’t helping and costs money.

Craving something sweet.

Arrow Monday, March 29, 2004 @ 2:54 pm

Check out my new eBay auctions … someone please actually bid this time? LOL:

Blah I feel like crap, and not only ’cause I just ate Hershey’s kisses and a thing of malted milk balls (had a chocolate craving). Need sleep, but no, heaven forbid that. Gotta meet with Jed at 4, then shower, maybe have dinner, and call some leads around 6:30. Good thing I don’t have any homework tonight, and English tomorrow is canceled … I could definitely use a morning of doing nothing … though it’ll suck without Shayne (he’s at home tonight) … I miss him, and Star Munchkin just doesn’t cut it.

Hell yeah JMU, damn right it’s a holiday … though no one can believe I’ll be 20. I can … being a teenager has lasted long enough:

Birthday holiday

And that’s interesting … apparently Brian saw Elaine last night, and was all excited about it when usually he’s like eh, whatever. Then again, what do I care …

FYI: never buy a white-out pen (namely the Paper*Mate AutoFlo) that claims you don’t have to shake or squeeze it — the liquid takes forever to come out, when it does it doesn’t cover for crap, and is a waste of $4.

*sigh* I had a 12 oz. Irish cream coffee this morning and a 20 oz. Diet Coke before lunch (plus junk food), and I’m still dead. Geez, how much caffeine/sugar do I need?

Busy rainy estimating day.

Arrow Saturday, March 27, 2004 @ 11:30 pm

After this I’m going to bed, but figured I’d better drop in ’cause I hadn’t since Thursday. Anyway, man, really busy frickin’ day. Got up at 7 am, had breakfast, showered, met Jed and Lindsay at 9 for my first estimate (in the rain), which went well. They’re gonna call me back tomorrow night, hopefully with good news.

By the second estimate it’d stopping raining, and it was with the people I’d talked to the most out of everyone, so we had a pretty good shot at booking it — and we did! $3000 worth, baby. Plus a lawn sign

I was frickin’ dead by the third estimate. It was about 1, I was tired and hungry, had a headache, and my cough was acting up. And we had to estimate the whole house, plus deal with the lady’s dogs and endless conversations with Jed ’cause they’d gone to the same college (University of Utah at Park City?). But, nevertheless, it was a good experience, the people were nice, and Jed said I did well with it being my first estimate (he’d done most of the talking for the other two). She said she’d book with us ’cause we gave the lowest price, but had house stuff to deal with first so will hopefully call me back! *crosses fingers*

If I traded it all, if I gave it all away for one thing …

Fourth estimate was completely on my own — Jed and Lindsay headed home. BUT, I wasn’t nervous. It was with this really nice old guy with a sense of humor who didn’t mind that I was a little late ’cause of my burnt-out-ness, and I built a lot of rapport with him. I think he’s gonna choose me regardless of prices from his other estimates ’cause of this, and ’cause we’re that cool. He also has this rule of getting three different estimates when doing work, which is fine as long as he picks me

Everyday’s a new day
Fifteen there’s still time for you
Twenty-four it’s time to choose
Fifteen there’s never a wish better than this
When you’ve only got a hundred years to live …

Fifth estimate was okay. Was mostly windows and a little siding. Think I screwed up the price (too high) and sped through the presentation … though the client was really nice and said she’d get back to me as soon as she could after looking at other estimates. Bah. Maybe I’ll be lucky?

Played DDR tonight for the first time in forever — felt really good, but wanted Brad there to help ’cause I kept screwing up in standard mode

Night! And happy 20th birthday to Shaune

I almost care.

Arrow Thursday, March 25, 2004 @ 2:57 pm

I need to remember this when stressed about CWP:

Don’t give up when you’re so close
Don’t give up when you’re almost there
Don’t give up when you’re so close
I almost care …

Yay for Hanson. I wish Underneath would come out already.

Maybe Actifed is working? I still have a cough, and it might be a little better, but it’s hard to tell. I think I have a mixture of the flu and acute bronchitis. Bah. Evil sickness.

Edit: Wanna know why Shayne is awesome … reason #489? He likes medical shows! I think he’s the first person I’ve ever met that shares my “weird” taste … so yay. Now I can watch all the Trauma, Operation, Paramedics, etc. that I want

I got a 58 on my sociology test … which sucks, but IS an improvement since my last one. I’m crossing my fingers that Dr. Steele screwed up the grading again, so I can at least pass. Speaking of which, there’s sociology extra credit tonight at 7, and I’m so there. I need all the help I can get in that frickin’ class. I might’ve fallen asleep today too … all we did was sit there and listen to boring groups present their boring chapters.

Skip class, feel better.

Arrow Tuesday, March 23, 2004 @ 6:14 pm

So I spent the night at Shayne’s and skipped English and sociology. Needless to say, I’m feeling a little better — my chills and fever are gone, and my headaches are almost non-existent. I just hope I can make up the quiz I missed in English during my conference on Thursday. And Jessica and I need to stop missing the same classes lol … every single day that I’ve been absent, she has too. It’s weird. I also have to write a five-page paper on the treatment of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) tonight, but oh well, it could be worse. The fourteen hours I spent in bed today should keep me from falling asleep in the process

Sick with no breaks.

Arrow Monday, March 22, 2004 @ 6:07 pm

Blah, I feel like crap. In addition to random coughing and sneezing, I now have dizziness, a headache, and chills, and in ten minutes I get to go to a two-hour booking-estimates session with Jed and all the JMU College Works people at the farthest possible place from me on campus — College Center Ballroom. And then, this weekend, in addition to getting 8 - 10 leads (which I’m surprised I got this weekend), I need to do seven estimates at two hours (max) each, and still have time to eat, sleep, and not go crazy. Why can’t I be healthy through all of this? *sigh* I also have a ton of English homework to do before 9:30 am tomorrow, none of which I’ve done ’cause I wasn’t expecting this estimates session, and around 10 tonight I’m seeing Shayne. I’ve never been this busy in my life.
