Beauty school dropout.

Arrow Saturday, February 14, 2004 @ 3:14 pm

So Shaune dropped out of school. I can’t believe it. She doesn’t strike me as the type of person to do that … but I guess everyone can surprise you at some point. Man … I just hope she’s okay, her latest journal entry doesn’t sound too happy. I’m probably gonna call her in a few days, just to say hi and see what’s up and stuff. Yeah … but man

Party hardy, rock and roll.

Arrow Saturday, February 14, 2004 @ 12:10 pm

Wow … awesome night … and the weekend’s still not over. K, first I got to see Shayne’s band (Razoredged Rosepetals) practice. Added to “Will You Help Me,” my favorite songs now include “Poor Little Rich Girl,” “Sunday Morning,” and “Lonely Road.” Chris, the drummer, is awesome, Shayne’s pretty good on his cool, black, pointy guitar, and Drew plays both bass and keyboard. Plus, earlier I’d seen an ad for music recording by my dorm, so I asked Shayne if they’d be interested, and sure enough, they’re definitely gonna find out about it — and I made it happen hehe. I feel like a pseudo-roadie  I also need to get their demo … and if everything works out they’re re-recording their demo, making a couple singles, and playing shows again soon. Awesome. Afterwards, Shayne took me out onto his drummer’s back porch to look at the stars … it was sweet.

Party time was after that — except I screwed myself over and had 5 beers and 1 Bacardi Silver over the course of an hour, resulting in passing out before any of the fun started. Of course, I had fun during that hour … saw Joe, Sarah, and Matt again, but was gone for Josh proposing to Meghan, interesting convos, the 75 - 100 people that showed up, and whatever else that went down that I have yet to find out about. So that sucked. But oh well, there’ll be other parties, and I guess it’s good to keep figuring out my limit.

But wait, there’s more. I woke up from my drunken stupor around 3 (right when the party had ended) and 2 seconds later Shayne comes in … 2 minutes later, after acknowledging the presence of Valentine’s Day, he tells me he loves me … and I say it back  I know it’s crazy, kinda weird, and a little scary since we’ve only been together for 2 weeks … but hey, as he would say, what’s right is right, and it definitely feels right … especially since we’d both been fighting back the words for awhile. Aww.

Now I’m off to hopefully do work, have lunch with Doron, and then head back to the apartment for V-Day festivities. Yay  Everyone have a good one.

Friday the 13th.

Arrow Friday, February 13, 2004 @ 9:42 am

Thanks to Eddie and Doron, my new favorite band is Coheed & Cambria — everyone must download “In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.” They’re also coming to this year’s Warped Tour. Man, I am so there, there’s like 10 bands I’m dying to see  Now Shayne just needs to hurry up and find out if he’ll be working or not lol.

I get to see Shayne’s band practice tonight, I’m excited. And tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day … can’t wait to see what’s in store

Two packages. Score.

Arrow Thursday, February 12, 2004 @ 12:01 pm

I got TWO (count ‘em, t-w-o) packages today! Score. Though one was the Rammstein classical CD (which sucks), the other was a Valentines package from my grandma, complete with a silver bracelet and cookies inside. Aww. She rocks: does your grandma measure up? Haha j/k. My next packages should be my AFI hoodie and spiked collar … tomorrow if I’m lucky. Yay

Agenda-wise … I need to study for my business test tomorrow and start my history paper if I’m feeling motivated. Maybe even do project stuff. Care to help?

Oh, and happy birthday to Lincoln … however old he is.

Poem for Shayne.

Arrow Monday, February 9, 2004 @ 6:39 pm

Perfect

Out of nowhere
Like a dream in the night
You held me close
You held me so tight

You kissed me sweetly
And swept me away
Away from the madness
And anger of day

I can’t complain
It feels so right
All my troubles before this
Are now out of sight

My knight in shining armor
I can’t believe this is real
It’s all happened so fast
But I know what I feel

We’ll keep on growing
Forever and a day
‘Cause you’re everything I want
And we’ll be together always

On another note, the IRBs suck. If I don’t pass the test the second time I’m screwed. WTF? They don’t even tell you what score you have to get or what questions you missed. Stupid sociology. I have a test tomorrow, too

So happy together.

Arrow Sunday, February 8, 2004 @ 8:53 pm

I had the greatest weekend, even without making it to the Sugarcult, Simple Plan, and MxPx show. Man. Shayne is the greatest thing ever. He likes to drive (even offered to drive Jessica and I to the 9:30 Club after racking up 7 hours that weekend), likes black nail polish, is quitting smoking and cutting back on drinking for me (aww), wants to dye his hair “anime red” (and mine black with red tips), and tried, at my suggestion, and liked bacon and black olive pizza even though he hates olives. We both feel like saying the “magic phrase” already but think it’s too early … and we wanna be together forever  And even though we’ve only known each other for 3 weeks, it feels like much longer, and time flies when we’re together … it’s just so comfortable. Plus, this is the first time all our friends have approved of our significant other, and the absence of hostility feels amazing. My dad’s even glad that I’m seeing other guys lol. I just hope this lasts … I mean, I’ve been happy before, but not like this:

Shayne: you are sooo the best thing that’s happened to me in a long time
Shayne: you make me happy baby. Happy like I can’t recall being ever before

In other news, I don’t have English at all this week due to conferences — score. Things are definitely looking up.
