John’s sorta-friend Jon just IMed me, and after saying hi and the usual crap asks, “did you maybe want to get together sometime for a bite to eat or something” and “I don’t know whatever you want we could go to D-hall, or I could cook you something?” Um wtf? I don’t know about you, but cooking something for a girl usually means you like them, wanna get somewhere with them, etc … yet he knows I have a boyfriend, but that’s not even the point. I haven’t met or even frickin’ heard of this person, but then again, maybe he thinks I’m like most JMU girls
Apparently he found me on JMUspot.

I GOT HIRED. Wow. I can’t believe it, I completely thought they’d turn me down — almost every other employer has, and this one is so much better than them. Yay! Even though he did say he was “going out on a limb” offering me the job, the important thing is he saw my integrity and that I was chosen out of so many people
So, the first thing I do is learn how to paint a house over spring break (with other employees and district managers I’m assuming) … and then more training happens after that, but don’t know the details yet. Man. It still hasn’t sunk in — I have a real summer job that’s actually worthwhile.
By the way, the VP gets props ’cause he had the same kind of light-up pen as me ![]()

Soulseek is a lifesaver. I feel a little better now. Limewire and iTunes can go to hell.
Last night was Jen’s 20th birthday, so her, Jon, Angelica, Sarah, her friend, me, and Shayne all went to Buffalo Wild Wings for karaoke night. It was fun, we were all singing along to annoying country songs, though they did play some Simple Plan for me at one point
Shayne’s set on doing “Bodies” by Drowning Pool next time. At the end, the head karaoke guy came up to Jen and sang part of Afroman’s “Because I Got High” to her for her birthday, and at the end thanked Shayne for being a good sport, thinking he was her boyfriend! It was funny — Shayne then posed for a pic with his arms around me, Jen, and Sarah
I also got to drive us back to Ashby ’cause he’d had a little to drink, which was cool ’cause not only does his car give a smooth ride, but it likes me! Now I just hope I pass the real test, where, on a road trip, we see if “the bull” slows up and speeds down depending on the presence of cops — disregarding driver influence lol.

Well, the totals are in … out of about 314 MP3s, I managed to salvage 129 … meaning I can look forward to download, ripping, and editing the remaining 185. Great. Everything was going so well until iTunes came into my life.
I was so tired and annoyed with myself that I didn’t bother going to my morning classes today … I just hope that nothing revolutionary happened in English. History, I could care less — the lab is even more boring than the lecture.

What a great day this is turning out to be — I just lost most of my MP3s (everything before “N”) thanks to fuckin’ iTunes, including my free Green Day song, and I’m just in disbelief. I can’t believe that in 2 seconds, my whole world (yes, music is that important) has been turned upside down.
Now Winamp is screwed, my BlogAmp won’t work, every song is in a different folder, all that time spent on the ID3 tags is wasted … no more Atomic Box, Murderdolls, AFI, Hanson, Godsmack, Disturbed, Linkin Park … yeah, thanks to all my friends for caring. Next time you’re pissed I’ll remember to ignore you too *sigh*

I won a free iTunes song from Pepsi. Rock. I’ve decided on “I Fought The Law” by Green Day ’cause it’s Pepsi’s current anthem and I’ve been searching for it unsuccessfully since Superbowl Sunday … though The Clash did a good job too
Guess my really-not-needed detour to Mr. Chips where I randomly bought Diet Pepsi, M&M’s, and white chocolate Reese’s wasn’t a total waste.
Not going to Shayne’s tonight ’cause he has work, but I guess that’s good ’cause all I have left to do tonight is read for my history quiz tomorrow and check out No Shame Theater with Doron later ’cause he “needs to get out more” — usually I’d barely be done with the last sentences before bursting through the door with seconds to spare. Yeah, I procrastinate.
Speaking of which, my last College Works interview is on Friday, and if I’m hired, I dunno what I’m gonna do. I mean, I really need to do something with my summer besides sitting on my ass or doing data entry from 9 - 5, but then again, this internship will basically deprive me of a vacation. Welcome to the real world? Granted, there are the perks of bonuses and the trip to Cancun … and it’ll be worth it, but do I really want it? Blah. Guess we’ll find out soon.
I’m really feeling “Into The Dark” by Juliana Theory. Summer’s gonna be tough without Shayne … but then again, if I get me a decent job, I’ll be kept semi-busy and out of doing stupid things. Let’s hope this year is better than the rest — where no one wanted me and I felt like crap.

Shayne: But he knew i wouldn’t leave it in for that
Shayne: And i knew he knew
Shayne: but noone I knew knew that he knew or that i knew he knew if they did know he knew.
Hehe, definitely wtf, but I love my baby anyway
And now I’m off to finish laundry, get dinner, and finish my paper — YES, I’m almost done! Proud of me, aren’t you? ![]()
