Typical freshman night.

Arrow Saturday, November 15, 2003 @ 10:34 pm

Don’t wanna work … ran out of white paint … art store’s closed on the weekends … no one’s on AIM … assignments (final) are due Monday *sigh* Will do collages before bed … hope the freaks stay out way too late and pass out on some guy’s floor … and now I need sugar and caffeine before I get any more annoyed … chocolate and Coke, anyone?

I’m starting to hate this layout more and more each day … if only I had the time to put up my new one.

Lots of quizzes.

Arrow Friday, November 14, 2003 @ 10:51 pm

Rose soul quiz
When I wake up alone, the shades are still drawn on the cold window pane so they cast their lines on my bed and lines on my face.

The Solitary Rose is associated with loneliness, melancholy, and patience. It is governed by the goddess Merope and its sign is the Sword, or Unrequited Love. As a Solitary Rose, you may be summed up as a hopeless romantic. You desire love and have so much love to give, but things just never seem to work out the way you want them to. In life, you can be very optimistic, even when things are gray and nothing works out to your expectations. What rose is your soul bound to?

Drink quiz
Smooth and dark, you are potent and bitchy yet seductive and irresistible. Congratulations! You’re a Black Velvet! What drink are you?

80s song quiz
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
Travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody’s looking for something
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused …

Which 80s song fits you?

Mystery package, similar roommates.

Arrow Wednesday, November 12, 2003 @ 8:59 pm

Guess what? I got a package! I have no idea what it is or who it’s from ’cause I just got the slip, but I can’t wait ’til after health tomorrow to find out … I’m so not expecting anything … unless I forgot … like Dory

I’m talking to Jessica online right now, and she feels my pain about the roommate situation — hers is crazy too and talks to her boyfriend like seven hours a day, literally, and lets him stay over five nights in a row without saying anything to her (she really dislikes her). And cool, she says she’ll room with me next year if nothing else works out … yay … we’d probably do the Village ’cause I’m up for anything, even though it doesn’t have AC  But we’ll see what happens when the time comes to sign up …

Also, can’t forget to watch True Life: I’m A Clubber tomorrow at 10 on MTV … just ’cause it sounds cool.

Utah dilemma.

Arrow Tuesday, November 11, 2003 @ 12:30 pm

Bah, I so wish I wasn’t scared of what my dad would do if I went to Utah … so I could like, go. I mean, this is basically Brian’s dream and it isn’t happening without me … and I feel so bad for telling him no, just ’cause of my dad’s temper and my failed repeated attempts at persuasion *sigh* Why can’t he just let go? I mean, when I was younger he was like, do whatever you want when you’re 18 and move out … but why does the move out part matter so much? There’s no point in doing so, though I basically have since I’m here, I’m way past 18, in frickin’ college, I think I’d know by now how to be away from home for a week — I’ve done it 18 billion times already. But no … some people have to be difficult, and it’s annoying. He’s lenient in just about every other area of my life — what is so “wrong” about this one? What is so unbearable about not having control over something that would make two people happy? *sigh again* I wish I knew a way to change, or at least lessen the negativity of, his mind.

Hillside rant.

Arrow Monday, November 10, 2003 @ 2:09 pm

Well, today’s been blah. Got up around 9:30, got some more reading done, but didn’t bother finishing it ’cause the second book had nothing to do with violence or anything related to cultures … it was just about the different perspectives these two guys had on each other, the Yanomamo (though nothing about them was mentioned) and who was right or something. I was like umm, I’ll skim this 2 minutes before class starts. During all that I kept falling asleep too … when Maureen got back from class around 12 I finally got up. I checked my mail, and now have $295 (why not $300?) from my dad to deposit and my $7.25 telecom bill to pay. It’s weird, it said I made long-distance calls to Fairfax, Alexandria, and Herdon … and the only person I called was Brian. I don’t get it. Then I got lunch, and I still went over a punch. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to stop doing that. Stupid prices. And I’m reluctant to get combos ’cause they’re usually unhealthy.

My hall is getting increasingly annoying. Earlier today while I was getting dressed, Allie and whoever else just barged in, all excited ’cause they’d gotten corn dogs at Dukes. WTF? Not to mention that the white board on the door had been titled “Maureen’s Board” last night with no regard to me. It’s back to normal now, but still … I swear, these people hate me. For the rest of this year I need to get up earlier and escape somewhere. I’d be excited for next year … but then again, have no potential roommate …

At least I had an awesome weekend (especially Thurs. night and the wedding) … wanna go back to where people actually care. But no, the IHSA show is this Sat., and I’d be kicked out of the club or something (oh darn) if I didn’t go.

Name quiz.

Arrow Saturday, November 8, 2003 @ 12:56 pm

Wow, this thing actually got my personality right:

Your real name should be Jennifer. People with the name Jennifer are usually very quiet and shy until you get to know them, and once you do, you figure out that they are very fun to be around (and crazy). Congrats, you’re pretty cool.
What should your name be?

I got a webcam!

Arrow Saturday, November 8, 2003 @ 2:04 am

I got a webcam (indulge to your left)! Yay to me and Brian for our 16-month anniversary … hey, there had to be some reason to impulsively buy a 2-pack of Logitech webcams! Hehe j/k, he’s awesome
