Heading towards crazy.

Arrow Tuesday, September 30, 2003 @ 7:15 pm

Man … Shaune’s thinking about transferring, Lauren in art knows Allena from Foxcroft and went to O’Connell, I got kicked by a horse today (ow), and Maureen’s back … if that’s not the definition of crazy I don’t know what is.

Caffeinated.

Arrow Tuesday, September 30, 2003 @ 12:29 pm

Let’s see, it’s 12:30 am, I just drank 2 Diet Cokes (and will have coffee in the morning), have a health test tomorrow that I haven’t even thought about and pages for art to read before bed. Fun fun. Caffeine is my friend! LOL, anyway … gonna go get ready for bed, adios people.

Annoying … as usual.

Arrow Tuesday, September 30, 2003 @ 1:32 am

Okay fuck … somehow I got a 90 on my pre-testwell … I guess I missed her saying that we needed to type it, and I bet you anything she said that the day I accidentally slept through class. Then I got my anthropology test grade — a 72 — which sucks, and the class average is 74 (what Larry got) … I wanna know what I did wrong. I hope there weren’t any stupid trick questions.

Art was also annoying. Mrs. Carbrey got mad at us ’cause our work wasn’t “college level,” so for the next 3 hours I stayed there trying to get some idea of what the hell she wanted … even though everyone else liked what I came up with. But I’m a little better now ’cause I did a cool rendition of my “shy” drawing in Photoshop — if she doesn’t like that I’m gonna be pissed.

And poor Natalie emailed everyone saying she got stung by a bee and had to go to the hospital ’cause she was allergic … hope she’s doing okay. Haven’t talked to her in awhile … if I didn’t have a million slides to review for health I’d email her back. Speaking of which, PowerPoint is calling me … bye …

Maureen comes back tomorrow morning … great. Say hello to slamming doors and screaming random people barging into the room 24/7. I know this sounds bad, but today was so peaceful without her.

Leaving town.

Arrow Thursday, September 25, 2003 @ 11:53 pm

Okay I’m so glad I’m leaving tomorrow — people here are driving me crazy. Well, some people. I hate how everyone runs around here screaming and obsessing and making a big deal out of everything. Sometimes I’m just like, “shut up.” Reminds me so much of all the underclassmen at Foxcroft … but who knows where I’d be if I hadn’t screwed up at Yorktown. Blah … where did all the cool music people go? Oh well, I guess I’ll find them eventually … I sorta have Karolina, Jessica, and Paul. And Larry, forget him. He never mentioned Nemo again, didn’t talk to me during the review session — he’s too wrapped up with DX and that girl in anthropology and whoever else to care. I never see Shawn, but not like he matters … he was cool for the 2 seconds I talked to him about Arlington after hiking. Trap’s kinda cool … but um, he won’t really be around for awhile … and doubt he’ll say hi when he gets back. Maybe canoeing next weekend will help with all this. *sigh* Well, guess I’m gonna go soon and do stuff for GCOM … my room’s been taken over by Maureen and her people.

Oh btw, go here if you’re from Northern VA. It’s funny.

And blah, my stomach hurts … I wish I could ban temptation from being a feeling

Two cubed.

Arrow Wednesday, September 24, 2003 @ 2:22 am

Woo it’s another late night for Claire … I just finished getting ready for bed, putting away my health book, and joining the Billy Joel fanlisting. Hopefully before lunch tomorrow I’ll have put away my art book, IHSA form, and GCOM/art homework too. I’m also seeing “Finding Nemo” with Larry and a couple of his friends tomorrow (or Thursday) night, so yay! About time it friggin’ came

P.S. Everyone needs to go skydiving ’cause it’s incredibly-iddly awesome! Yes, you and you and you. Like the song, “this Bud’s for you … and you and you and you.” LOL k I’ll stop now.

Music Friday Five.

Arrow Friday, September 19, 2003 @ 1:51 pm

Friday Five again:

1. Who is your favorite singer/musician? Why?
Hanson! I’ve loved their music for 6 years now, and it ranges from pop to rock to emo.

2. What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why?
Umm … I dunno, can’t think of one right now.

3. If your favorite singer wasn’t in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person?
Yeah definitely.

4. Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show?
Yes: Hanson (of course  ), Linkin Park, and Good Charlotte.

5. What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from dowloading free music?
I haven’t stopped buying (I bought 3 CDs yesterday lol), and if I download music and like it enough, then I buy the album. But if you’ve completely abandoned buying to downloading, then the RIAA should do something.

Plan 9 in the rain.

Arrow Thursday, September 18, 2003 @ 11:44 pm

In Sam’s words, roar Isabel roar! My 4-day weekend is pretty good so far. Right now I’m just hanging in my room listening to my new techno CD — Ultra Dance 4, which is awesome. I got it after GCOM today with Karolina and Jessica — we took the really really slow Shopper to Plan 9 and proceeded to spend way too much money and stand out in the freeeeezing rain for way too long lol. But it was worth it, in addition to Ultra Dance 4, the new Ataris CD, Juliana Theory’s “Emotion Is Dead,” and a Good Charlotte poster, I got free Pennywise and Dropkick Murphy posters, random stickers, and an Ataris t-shirt! I was like okay this store rocks. Then after “dinner” (vending machine food  ) and a shower, I watched Van Wilder with most of the people from my hall while eating sections of one big chocolate chip cookie. Yummy. It was an interesting sight lol. After that I called Brian (2 more days!), watched some more Isabel TV, got some vending “breakfast” in case the power’s out in the morning … and now I’m here. I’m so happy school’s canceled tomorrow, I dunno why … just, yay! I was so dreading walking all the way to art in the hurricane, and now I don’t have to. Score. I wonder if the mail will work tomorrow … I’ll be pissed if it doesn’t ’cause then I’d be screwed financially for skydiving and have to reschedule or something. Suck. So mail, work! Anyway, there’s not much else to say … Matt’s party is tomorrow as long as we’re not flooded in Isabel’s fury. So yeah … yay and stuff
