Wow the last few days have been depressing … the whole Becca issue, Ms. Heide’s mom, and just talking with people … I’ve found out stuff that I never would have otherwise … it’s amazing the emotions that show with certain subjects. Like right now Ms. Jones is talking to me, Erica, and Allena about funerals in her family. Yeah.
Anyway, don’t feel like writing much, so I’m gonna go. Kinda tired for some reason, even though I didn’t do anything today. I also ate a lot, so blah … that’s one thing I won’t miss about this place. But oh well … adios.
Oh, and how perfect is this … there’s like a 60% chance of rain for graduation. Just my luck. It’s rained the past 3 years (I think) and it’s literally been raining the whole month. Isn’t it about time for a break?

Today’s been boring. All I did was go to class, the concert, sleep, shower, homework, and pack. And now I’m online ’cause I have absolutely nothing else to do. Yeah that’s cool, but not when I’m stuck here. Oh well, at least I get to leave for a little while tomorrow. And I get Danks for lunch! Yay! I guess yearbook does have its perks. And I so wish I didn’t have philosophy Thursday morning, ’cause then I could spend tomorrow night at home. Stupid philosophy. And of course Mr. Coven remembered that he forgot me, so I gotta present then. Fun. Oh well, I’m sure it won’t screw up my grade that much.
OMG, and the concert this afternoon was embarrassing … and I wasn’t even in it. Half the people couldn’t sing, Dance Company was not in unison at all, and chorale was just funny. One of their songs consisted solely of the word “meow.” I’m not kidding. I was just like okay, the fine arts department sucks. If I had the money, I’d make a donation lol.
And I really wanna make a new layout for WNC, but I can’t come up with anything. It’s weird, I was playing around in Photoshop earlier, but nothing was working. Oh well, maybe I just need some new brushes.
Anyway, gonna go now and try to occupy myself for the next hour or so … have a double sleep-in tomorrow (my one and only) and 1 class (double yearbook). I get to miss the afternoon ’cause of my physical appointment, so gotta make sure I’m good and tired for it haha. Adios.
Ooh ooh, and be proud — my Marcelino essay for Spanish was the best Ms. Gowdy had ever read. I have no idea how I did that, I wasn’t even trying, but I did, so go me! LOL yay.

Boring day. Had class. English presentation went okay, Mr. Matthews said I did fine. Philosophy was long and frustrating, I could barely stand it. I think Mr. Coven forgot I hadn’t presented yet, but that’s fine by me. Watched a video on OperationSmile in anatomy. Tried to sleep after school, but didn’t really succeed. Chelsea came in once, Erica came in twice, and the sophomores were screaming … we all know that doesn’t equal quiet.
Had to go play in the Applegate vs. Dillon kickball game, but of course all the housemother’s kids, who currently play kickball (instead of the rest of us who haven’t played in 10 years) were on Applegate’s team, so Dillon lost by like 20. Haha. It was funny, I didn’t even get to kick. It was 4 innings, and I just stood in the outfield during the 1st and threw balls back to the infield. It was oh so much fun. Right. Then I took a shower, watched Tommy Boy with Erica and Leslie during study hall, and afterwards packed and read through my yearbook again before calling Brian and talking to him for like an hour. Or more like talking about books for an hour, haha, but it’s all good. I got my jokes in
And Dr. Kelly emailed me back, saying it looks like the surgeon doesn’t want to do the internship with me (one reason for the slowness) ’cause it’s “too new of a concept.” She asked for my resume so she’d have a better idea of what to tell people … which doesn’t exactly help since I’ve never done this stuff before *sigh* I wonder if these “other options” she’s checking out will even think twice about me … I mean, who wants an intern with no medical experience whatsoever? Oh well, hopefully something good will come out of this … I’m tired of being continuously rejected.

It’s sad … my room is bare … nothing on the walls. It’s like a hospital. Blah. But oh well, less than 2 weeks, amazingly. I also don’t wanna give up my fridge. I still have perishable food in there, and I don’t wanna use the dorm fridge ’cause it’s gross … so guess I’ll be living on milk and yogurt tomorrow. Great. In other news, I emailed Dr. Kelly and the riding girl at Madison, so hopefully I’ll hear from them soon. Made a kick-ass poster for my English presentation lol. Even though it has rainbow colors (which some people don’t like), I think the way I laid out the letters and pictures is cool. So there. Hopefully Mr. Matthews will think the same. Speaking of teachers, I saw Ms. Erba at the banquet, and she said I missed a lot of important stuff. Oh joy. Oh well, at least that’s the only class … I think, haven’t talked to Ms. Bergan yet. Hmm … what else. Right, exams start Saturday. Philosophy is first … anatomy on Monday … nothing on Tuesday … and Spanish on Wednesday. I’m thinking I’m going home Saturday and Monday afternoons
Then after all that is the awards ceremony, baccalaureate, and graduation! And I’m free! And on my own to face the world of college and work and be a freshman again. Gonna be crazy … hopefully in a good way.

For those who’ve been wondering: updates have been few and far between due to me being sick with some flu-like condition, the end of the school year, and everything else. So yeah. But don’t worry, it’ll be better once I’ve graduated and have an internship *cough* Geez, how slow can Georgetown be? Guess I gotta email Dr. Kelly again. Oh well, it’s late, and I’m tired, so adios.

Wow today’s been long, lol. Let’s see if I can even remember it all.
First I had school, which started at 8:30 instead of 8 (yay) ’cause of the astronomy sleepover. It was pretty normal — got my test back in anatomy, received a 78, but according to Meg it was one of the highest, so I guess that’s good. Didn’t have to go to English, and then in philosophy I was supposed to present my paper, but time ran out, so now I’m going on Wednesday.
After class I went online, showered, packed, did laundry, and got ready to leave after the stupid leadership thing. I think it went okay, though I had no idea what to say to the underclassmen about what I’d learned from being a leader — everyone said the same thing, so I talked for like 2 seconds and made up some crap about taking advantage of opportunities and including everyone. But oh well, no one really cared, so it’s all good.
Then, after that finally ended, I go and get my stuff, sign out, walk to my car, and find out that it won’t start. Great. Just my luck. It’s raining and cold and I’m stuck. Not fun. So after spazzing for a couple seconds and cursing my car, I call Brian and my dad to tell them my dilemma, then find Ms. McKibben and Ms. Marsh, and they call maintenance for me. So after waiting about 15 minutes for maintenance to finish fixing lights or something, Mr. Crowley comes and jump-starts my car. It works after a few tries, and I’m so relieved lol. At first I thought I’d have to stay the night at school, or go through the annoying permission thing for Brian to pick me up, etc. But yay, my car didn’t completely fail on me, and it got me where I needed to go. I don’t know what was wrong with it, though … according to Dad the battery was new, but Mr. Crowley said it was 4 years old and should be replaced. But I know nothing about cars, so I’m just gonna see what they say at the next inspection.
Then, after that drama ends, I somehow make it to Brian’s while being paranoid about the car stalling or dying. Luckily it doesn’t, and I get to his house fashionably early. We go and see Matrix Reloaded, which was good, though I was tired and had a headache for most the time (after Red Bull and a Sheetz run, however, I felt better
). It was also really nice to see Brian, and he got me flowers just because
I was like aww … he’s so awesome. Then I unfortunately had to leave, so I retrieved my flowers, thanked my car for starting on its own, said bye to Brian, got home, put my flowers in a vase, told my dad I’m fine, unpacked, got ready for bed, and now I’m here. Crazy day, huh?
Oh yeah, and I also got my JMU OneBook, which has 50 billion deadlines to meet and all the information a first-year student (me) could need. So I’m gonna be religiously soaking up everything I can from it, ’cause I hate missing due dates and all that stuff. Anyway, I’m tired, and it’s definitely bedtime, so talk to everyone later. I’ll share my thoughts on Matrix Reloaded in a future post.

Aww, Friends was so cute last night. It was the season finale, and everyone hooked up with someone. Mike and the Minsk guy proposed to Phoebe, but she chose Mike, Joey broke up with that girl and got with Rachel, and that girl got with Ross … and just yay. It was a good ending, and funny too. What was up with Monica’s hair, though? It looked like she got attacked by a hair dryer. But oh well.
Anyway, I get to go sit through 1 1/2 hours of philosophy now (joy) and present, so wish me luck. Adios.
