Meh, no headphones.

Arrow Wednesday, March 5, 2003 @ 4:22 pm

My headphones didn’t come today either, which sucks, so I’m hoping they got us a charter bus for movies. ‘Cause it’d suck if I had to just sit there with no entertainment, lol. But oh well … we’ll see what happens. And yay, the snow’s starting to melt! It was like 60 degrees today, which was definitely a nice change. But of course it’s gonna get colder again tomorrow — bah.

Anyway, gonna go randomly surf more … adios!

Grr, stupid phone. It wouldn’t let me in to my voice mailbox last night, even though I tried like 10 times. So I called my dad and he said their computers were probably screwed up and that it’d be fine in the morning. Luckily it was, so I finally got to hear Brian’s message a couple hours ago … I was just pissed ’cause it’d never done that before. But oh well — gotta go to English now, so adios

Easygoing night, hoping for headphones.

Arrow Tuesday, March 4, 2003 @ 10:59 pm

Blah tonight was so boring. Anatomy didn’t take me as long as I thought, so I finished that (yay!) around 8:15, and then just kinda hung around, did laundry, listened to music, read Reader’s Digest, and played around with Solitare and Photoshop (be on the lookout for a new layout soon) ’til I decided to see if I could get online, and surprisingly, no one was on (a rare moment), so yay! Even if only like 1 cord works on my computer, oh well. It’s minus the screaming

Umm, tomorrow is gonna be busy, I have class all morning and lunch will be different since we’re making Italian food at Ms. Bergan’s house … hopefully that won’t cut into rock climbing. ‘Cause I have no time to get ready for that as it is. So there’s that … and I think there’s some speaker tomorrow night, too, so no nap for me. Blah. But oh well … hopefully Brian will get his computer fixed by then … either that or my headphones come, lol. I really hope they’re here tomorrow ’cause of Luray Caverns, but knowing my luck, probably not. But oh well, I’ll either borrow some or suck it up and read or attempt to sleep during the ride.

Oh yeah, and I found out the name of the battlefield: New Market State Battlefield Park (I think) in Virginia (I think). LOL. Or maybe I need to go look at the sheet again? Haha. Oh yeah, and remind me to call my dad tomorrow … gotta figure out the weekend and all the “dinner dates” he’s set up. I was also reading Caroline’s blog, and it’s weird … she already has another boyfriend after all the stuff that happened with Matt. Is it just me, or is it too soon? But I dunno, she’s more aware of the time lapse than me

Anyway, I think it’s time to go, seeing as no one’s on and I’m running out of random things to do (haha Erica wants to make another survey) … ooh yay, Sugarcult just came on! Or not, Judy switched the song … yeah, I probably won’t be on again ’til tomorrow night … so leave me lots of messages hehe. Bye!

Package, pasta.

Arrow Tuesday, March 4, 2003 @ 1:29 pm

Aw my grandma just randomly sent me a stuffed Himalayan cat, lol. For a minute I thought the package (my first one of senior year … I sense a deficiency  ) was my headphones, but that’d be way too early … so hopefully tomorrow. Ooh, and also tomorrow for Ms. Bergan’s class we’re cooking angel hair pasta with garlic bread … yummy. And then there’s rock climbing, which will hopefully go well. Know what sucks? I can’t leave on Thursday (the 13th) until like 9:30 pm. Blah. But maybe I can come home Saturday night if the last 2 events really aren’t required. Anyway, gonna go check email now and then go to riding … so adios. I’ll be on tonight if the internet’s not down.

Happy dream, rock climbing.

Arrow Monday, March 3, 2003 @ 11:34 pm

Today was pretty good … I woke up at the usual 7:15 to get ready for class, and then I remembered having this dream about Brian (which needs to happen more), during which he proposed to me. And that’s not something that happens everyday, you know? I don’t remember every detail, but he was nervous and his mom was trying to give him advice (?), and then when he actually did it we were at a round table (I think for dinner) in a dark room and he took my hands, said he loved me, asked, and of course I said yes  So that was cool to wake up to. When I told him later he was like ooh, maybe you can see the future? Just maybe

Anyway, back to school — my first class was budgeting, and it was okay. Natalie’s in there with me, so I’m not the only senior (yay) … ’cause the other people are kinda annoying. We had to choose our job, car, apartment, and living location for after college/grad school, and then go online and find the starting salary and an apartment. My starting salary was like $46,000 (for graphic arts) or $186,000 (for a doctor, which I’m slightly considering) … and I chose some random 2-bedroom apartment in Rosslyn for about $2000 a month (which I’d be splitting with a roommate). So yeah … we’ll see where that goes.

Then I had English, which was boring as usual, and after that the cooking class with Ms. Bergan (and aw, she has a cat that looks like Midnight and Mackie). We watched this 80s video about how to choose healthy meals, and then she split us into country teams. I’m teamed up with Lily, this girl from Thailand, and during study hall we came up with a healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack, one of which we would cook for everyone. So that’ll be cool.

Umm, then I had like 20 minutes to get ready for rock climbing, so I had cereal, chips, and a Nutri-Grain bar for lunch, changed into jeans, and got on the bus. The trip to Sportrock (in Leesburg) was like 45 minutes, so it kinda sucked that I don’t have headphones yet. But luckily the people in the class are cool and aren’t the screaming type, so I basically just listened to the radio and drifted in and out of consciousness.

Once there, this guy Sean showed us how to put on our harnesses and tie the ropes for both climbing and belaying, and then everyone tried a wall. And omg, I’m so bad at it, lol. I couldn’t figure out where to put my hands and feet ’cause my fingers hurt (most of the grips had a shallow indentation) and my shoes kept slipping. But I think that’ll change once I get some actual rock climbing shoes. When that was over with we had to leave, and when we got back I just went to my room and took a nice 2-hour nap. I dunno why I was so tired, but I’m all better now. I woke up around 6:45, took a shower, had “dinner” (yogurt, a bagel, and cherry Coke), called Brian for like 5 minutes, had study hall, went to XM, then called Brian again (yay … but it also sucked ’cause we kept getting disconnected every 10 seconds). Then there was the dorm meeting … and now I’m here. And about to go to bed in a couple minutes, just ’cause I can, hehe. So adios!

Headphones, Interim.

Arrow Monday, March 3, 2003 @ 12:27 pm

Well … today’s been interesting. And my Y key won’t work. Stupid dorm computer. And stupid dorm cord for randomly not working. Oh well, at least no one’s on the computer right now. Anyway, I was able to find some headphones (at Brian’s suggestion) on CircuitCity.com (Sony.com was sold out) since my other ones broke a couple days ago, so hopefully they’ll get here before the Luray Caverns trip on Thursday. He also said they’ve lasted him 12 years, which is really good — none of mine have lasted more than 2 lol. Then during study hall I unpacked, had “dinner,” called my dad, did English and some anatomy homework, laundry, and now I’m here. I would be on my laptop, but don’t wanna fight with it. Oh yeah, and guess what? Lee came on Saturday, and I wasn’t frickin’ here! LOL, that sucks I missed her, but she left me a message on my door (with her number) so I’ll definitely call her soon.

What else did I do today … woke up at 11, went to the gym around 12 for an hour, showered, had breakfast with Brian at The Diner, saw Cradle 2 the Grave, which was actually pretty good, got gas (with the credit card!) and went to Giant, and then came back here (grr … but I got to speed down Foxcroft Road, which was fun  ). And I was talking to Brian, but he found out about another English assignment due in like 5 minutes that he didn’t know about … so he suddenly signed off. And yeah … got nothing else to do, so gonna finish laundry and then go to bed. See you.

By the way, Interim is gonna suck … Ms. Jones was reading the schedule earlier, and the required events are so stupid. Great. Oh well … the classes better be good?
