Honor roll, snow, back to school.

Arrow Monday, January 6, 2003 @ 1:53 pm

Well I got my grades (all Bs … yay I’m on the honor roll again) and fractal painting picture today … score. I was wondering when they’d get around to sending that.

Anyway, the past 24 hours have basically dealt with snow. I woke up yesterday to about an inch, and soon after my dad called to tell me not to drive anywhere. He said there were lots of accidents on 66, and people were sliding out all over. I think we got about 3 inches total. Brian also didn’t want me driving, but later he decided to come out here, which was awesome. I spent most of the afternoon working on WNC, which I’m glad is out of the way. I wish Hanson would actually do something so I wouldn’t keep feeling this unmotivation to update. But oh well, it’s Hanson, what do you expect?

Then I took a shower and did laundry, and Brian came over for a few hours despite the weather. We played Connect Four (wow I’m actually better than him!), had dinner, and then I showed him my architecture drawings. And yes, the tape is staying — it builds character  Then we drove to Friday’s at Fair Lakes for dessert, and afterwards to his house to watch Gone In 60 Seconds (this time without the egg roll issue). We finished off the last of his cookies, and then he sleepily drove me home. I was surprised he was willing to drive so much, since I usually make 1 or 2 trips a day to his place … but I guess the cats were really getting to him, haha. He’s awesome though, even if he does try to take my rings and tickle me and play the piano for hours on end. But that’s okay … I can always get him back somehow

Anyway, I should really start packing and getting ready to go back to school, despite how much it sucks. But I guess the sooner I start, the sooner it’s over. Blah. I still haven’t started Emma … I’m so bad  I also really hope my laptop’s fixed … I didn’t let that guy keep it the whole break for nothing. But oh well … at least I get to see my midget today before going back to “prison.” Hopefully the weather will cooperate, too.

Cookies, Bertucci’s, hostility.

Arrow Sunday, January 5, 2003 @ 3:55 am

Man I’m tired. But that’s okay, ’cause it was worth it. Let’s see, today I slept ’til 12 … well not really, since people were going in and out of the house inspecting and visiting and crap … so technically I just laid there for 3 hours. I was like grr, I want quiet. But eventually I got up, called Brian, took a shower, and went to his house after making dinner plans with him and Dad. We went to Subway for lunch, and then Giant and Target to get cookie-making materials.

Note to self: replace the Dance Party 2001 (or whatever year) CD. LOL, the stupid thing skips at the end like there’s no tomorrow. It’s annoying.

Anyway, after that we made the first batch of cookies, which turned out well. Then we met Dad and Ross at the new Bertucci’s (yay) in Clarendon. It was good — Brian got pizza (of course), I got this chicken pasta thing, Dad got a scallop pasta thing, and Ross got an Italian sausage pasta thing. Yeah  And for dessert we had cookies! Then Brian and I go back to his house, and Ross and Dad head to Barnes and Noble.

Once home, we make the last 2 batches of cookies, and after everything’s cleaned up, Jasmeen decides to make egg rolls … at like midnight. Isn’t that kinda late? And because of that, we end up not being able to watch Gone In 60 Seconds like we’d planned, and Brian starts sneezing because of the onion and pepper smell. He doesn’t like Jasmeen in the first place, and apparently she doesn’t like him … so some hostility mounts, and soon Brian can’t stand to be in the house any longer, so we leave (after he yells at Matt to move his car … he was pretty mad, I was like crap … just don’t say anything and it’ll be okay) and go on this random 2-hour drive through the back roads of Centreville and Loudon and Prince William County. It was pretty nice — and definitely the long way to Sheetz  We even saw a deer and a fox or stray dog, which was cool, and Brian pointed out all the places he’d been or where stuff used to be. It’d be an awesome drive to make in the summer.

Anyway, after getting back around 2, Brian goes upstairs and calculates the trip distance (around 64 miles) via Yahoo Maps, and then I collect my stuff and drive home. It was really tempting not to, lol … Brian’s bed looked so much more comfortable than my cold car  But yeah … I’m here now, and pretty tired, so I’m gonna go … supposedly I’m seeing Shaune tomorrow, but dunno when. She *said* she’d call me, but who knows with her. Hopefully Will doesn’t leave before I see him. I also gotta pack … crap. Don’t wanna think about that. But oh well … night

No more PacSun, drove an Audi!

Arrow Saturday, January 4, 2003 @ 2:23 am

Well, today was my last day at PacSun. It was definitely a good experience, and Shawn still owes me his CD, so I’ll definitely be back to visit for that if nothing else  And then Colby (or whatever his name is) from the signed picture place came in, so I talked to him for a few minutes. I also vacuumed for the first time at closing, which was a little better than what I usually do (fanning and collaring or untangling hangers). By the way, since I worked today and also got my paycheck today … do I get paid for today in a separate check? Or what? Guess I have another thing to call Nicole about.

Ooh, and for lunch, Brian and I went to the cool little cafe at webMethods. I got a reuben, chips, chocolate cookie, and vanilla coke, and they were yummy. Then his friend Ahmed comes in, and guess what? After talking and eating with us for a bit, he lets me drive his Audi TT! It was awesome (especially the heated seats), except for the really tight brakes and the shifting being different from my car. But if I had one, I’d probably get used to it. I also liked all the red interior lights — a nice change from the generic green. And when I got the car going at the right speed, it felt so much more powerful that mine … I was like wheee! Hehe. I wanna take it on the highway sometime

Okay, well I’m still cold … I think I’m gonna go make soup or something. I’m not even tired, which is weird … but I slept really well last night, so that might be why. Man, I wish I could sleep that well every night … stupid solicitors calling at frickin’ 9 am. Geez they’re annoying. But oh well … night!

New Year’s details.

Arrow Thursday, January 2, 2003 @ 12:44 pm

Okay, before I forget any more, here’s how my New Year’s went:

Went to Brian’s, said hi to everyone there, and hung out for a little bit. Then Brad calls, and tells us to bring a camera, so we add that to our “Sheetz shopping list,” lol. We go to Sheetz and get that, Red Bull, and animal crackers, and then I drive to Neusha’s as Brian navigates. We find the place fine (and Brian’s happy ’cause it’s 2 doors down from where his parents used to live), and basically laugh at Brad as he gets increasingly drunk and Neusha gets increasingly annoyed at him, lol. Or something.

We drink, play Mortal Kombat, watch the ball drop (yay, first *real* kiss at midnight), eat chips, and then leave around 12:30. I try calling Shaune (who’s now engaged to Will, btw) to find out about her parties, but of course she doesn’t answer, so I’m like screw it, she’ll call if she needs me. I find out the next day that she was at Megan’s with a bunch of people, and was really drunk. Typical, lol.

Anyway, then Brian and I head back to his house, where we drink some more and hang out with everybody there. I have a Bacardi Silver and part of Brian’s buttery nipple (a type of drink), which was yummy  We watch Matt drive the same course in GTA 4 like 80 times, listen to Jasmeen ask questions from some trivia game, and basically just lay around talking and slowly falling asleep. John and Heather were the first to leave since she wasn’t feeling well, and Brian and I go upstairs around 3. All in all, it was a cool New Year’s

Ringtones, bratz.

Arrow Thursday, January 2, 2003 @ 2:43 am

*yawn* I don’t know why I’m not in bed yet. Maybe it’s ’cause the stupid Cingular site won’t let me register my phone. Grr. But maybe it’ll work tomorrow. I was also trying to find a cool ringtone (like Hanson or The Calling or DJ Sammy), but no … I either have to buy it, or it won’t work on my model. Grr again … but they’re like $1, and most of them suck anyway, so no big loss.

And today was cool. Got to wake up next to Brian (yay) one last time before school (*sniff*), which was nice. Then everyone (me, Brian, Jason, Jasmeen, Heather, Heather, John, and Matt) went to IHOP for breakfast. I tried this weird cinnamon roll french toast thing, and it was good except for being soaked in butter. Then I went home and did laundry, and then back to Brian’s to watch Terminator 2. It was cool, though I was pissed that it took the bad guy forever to die  We went to Sheetz for “dinner” and got bratz and Hostess cupcakes, though the bratz had this tendancy to fall apart. Apparently the meat was good, but the stupid annoying generic hot dog buns kept tearing, especially with mustard. The Red Bull was good, though

After that I drove home, and now I’m here about to fall over and go to sleep, lol. Maybe that’s why the screen’s looking fuzzy  Hehe, but anyway … tomorrow Brian’s coming over and we’re getting the xXx DVD and Emma book (finally) … so adios! I’ll update all ya’ll (lol) about New Year’s Eve later.

Happy ‘03.

Arrow Wednesday, January 1, 2003 @ 6:25 pm

Happy New Year! It’s so weird to be writing “03″ now

Well, last night was cool, but I’m gonna elaborate later since I don’t feel like writing now. I got my first *real* midnight kiss, though (aw) … so yay  I’m glad nothing shitty happened this time.
