New Year’s Eve shopping.

Arrow Tuesday, December 31, 2002 @ 7:14 pm

Today was awesome ’cause … I went shopping! LOL, but it was cool ’cause I got 4 things at Gap for $25 (yay for all the after-Christmas sales). I got a gray tank top, grayish long-sleeved shirt, black bra, and also exchanged the blue shirt from Brian’s parents for a striped one. Then I got floss (lol) at CVS and a wallet at PacSun (my fire one was looking worn out, unfortunately … poor wallet, I’m gonna miss it  ). Then Brad called to see if I was coming to his party or not, and I said I didn’t know yet, so I have to call him back when I do. It was weird though, Nicole barely talked to me at PacSun, even though she was ringing me up. Sahar was, of course, ’cause she’s cool … but Nicole seemed annoyed with me for some reason … blah. All she did was confirm that this was my last week working there, and then the register froze when she entered my number. I was like, great. Maybe it was ’cause I had a Gap bag and Coke with me, but that shouldn’t affect anything. But oh well … I don’t work ’til Friday, and she’ll have probably forgotten by then … and tonight is gonna rock! So yay. Well I g2g eat dinner now — bye bye

Why retail sucks.

Arrow Monday, December 30, 2002 @ 12:54 pm

Ow … today at work we spent 5 1/2 hours re-arranging the store … like moving all the clothes and taking down and putting up and moving the metal shelves and display racks and rounders … man, everyone was ready to fall over and go to sleep when we were done. And Anusha had been there since 1 … dunno how she did that, lol. Anyway, I’m pretty tired, so adios.

And what’s with Brad suddenly IMing me all happy and like, I miss you and I wanna talk to you tomorrow and stuff. Blah. But oh well … my cell has caller ID, so it’s all good

Kristen, Tysons.

Arrow Sunday, December 29, 2002 @ 1:00 am

Mmm, hot cranberry juice is my new favorite comfort food (or drink if you wanna be technical). Hehe.

Anyway, today was cool. Saw Kristen, which I haven’t in like 2 years. Got lost finding my way around frickin’ confusing Crystal City, but afterwards I kinda got the hang of it. We talked for like an hour about random stuff … like college, our siblings, boyfriends, work, driving laws (which led to driving accidents), the sniper, and other little stuff. Just basically caught up. She also has the same cool cell phone as Anusha (my co-worker), though Sam (her boyfriend) is paying the bill for some reason *shrugs* I also talked to her parents and sister Adrienne for a couple minutes … and geez, Adrienne’s tall, lol — 5′10″ — which is like 5″ taller than Kristen. But I feel the same with Ross … though that’s expected. Or something. LOL. Umm, then she had to go visit some other people, so I left, and somehow managed to find 110 to 66 on my first try. Go me.

Brian called from his parents’ house as I entered the ramp, and about 30 minutes later we met up at his place, which was cool … though I missed waking up there  He brought me the Lee’s present (I think), and it was a cosmetic bag, which was awesome ’cause I’d actually asked my grandma for it, but didn’t get it. So yay! They must be psychic

Umm, then we went to Tysons, where I exchanged my L.L.Bean clog slipper thingys for a bigger size, and attempted to exchange my Gap shirt, but that didn’t work ’cause they didn’t have the right size. Typical … should’ve asked them to check other stores while I was there. But no, I was dumb and didn’t, lol. But oh well, there’s like 50 different sales going on there, so I’m sure I’ll find something … especially with my 2 gift cards  It was cool though, Brian actually liked a sweater that I liked … ’cause usually he doesn’t. So yay.

Then we had dinner at Sbarro and dessert at Haagen Dazs, where I got a scoop of Bailey’s Irish Cream. It was yummy. Afterwards we just wandered around the mall … the girl in Sunglasses Hut was awesome and gave Brian 2 free sunglasses bags and a case, I think, and gave me a free sunglasses holder for my car. I was like ooh, score! And Brian talked to the guy at the signed picture place (whatever it’s called) about the Redskins, Harry Potter, and LOTR forever. I was like, here we go again, hehe. Then we left to check the Gap at Fair Oaks, but of course they didn’t have what I needed. So we headed home, Brian showed me some stuff online, and I got to meet Megan and watch that whole crew play Vice City for a few minutes. I wanna try, even though I’ll die in like 2 seconds ’cause I suck at video games, lol.

Okay, well it was bedtime like a long time ago, lol, so I’m out. Bye! Aww, and “Everything I Do” just started playing. I love that song, hehe … one reason I wanted the Robin Hood movie.

Christmas presents, work.

Arrow Saturday, December 28, 2002 @ 2:24 am

Wow, haven’t written in forever … oops.

Anyway, umm, I basically spent the last week with Brian, which was awesome. I miss him already … *sniff* LOL. Also got a lot of cool stuff for my first white Christmas (at least that I remember) … here’s an attempted list:

  • Erica: bear
  • Ms. Thorndike: tin with soap and ornament
  • Brian’s parents: Gap shirt, purse, stocking
  • Brian’s parents’ friends: Bath & Body Works lotion, cosmetic bag
  • Brian: DVD player, Saliva CD, Fifth Element DVD
  • Shaune: Bath & Body Works stocking
  • Grandma: Gap gift card, heirloom
  • Grandpa: Gap gift card, Swiss Army knife, Sugarcult DVD, Claire’s Vegetarian Restaurant mug
  • Aunt Ann and Ed: Robin Hood VHS, DJ Sammy CD, L.L.Bean shoes, stocking
  • Uncle Chris: Escher calendar, A Very Special Christmas 5 CD
  • Madison Mary: soap

So yay! Now I just need to find time to play with it all  Oh yeah … and my stocking person for next year is Madison Mary. That presents a problem since I haven’t met her, lol. But oh well … Dad assures me I will.

Then I had work today, which went fine … basically just did shipment for 6 hours. Got home at 11, which was much nicer than 1 am. Talked to Anusha some more, and she wants to hang out sometime. Took my first break ever, lol, during which I went to Fresh ‘N Fruity and got a strawberry smoothie, but found out they don’t give discounts to mall employees … I guess only Cinnabon does that … gotta go there next time. Closed by organizing hangers (frickin’ messy box) and cleaning up the back room … there is no space back there, haha … and it didn’t help that this one girl knocked over a stack of shoeboxes and metal folding racks. It’s dangerous! Shawn also gave me one of his last Christmas cupcakes … I was like um okay. He’s weird. Then … what did I do … came home, talked to Dad, put my stuff away, opened presents, put that stuff away … and now I’m here, wishing I could be with Brian. But alas. Why am I saying alas? I’m not a LOTR freak … at least not now  Haha, well I’m getting tired of sitting here, and the den is freezing, like always … so night night.

Freezing, meh day.

Arrow Thursday, December 26, 2002 @ 11:20 pm

*sigh* I’m freezing. Dunno why. I’m at Brian’s house, and there’s nothing to do, so instead of falling asleep I’m online, while he’s downstairs playing the piano … again … or something.

Umm … today was okay. Finally got to sleep in, even though I woke up every hour ’cause my arms would alternatingly become numb. Took a shower, drove home, got gas, fed the cats, called Shaune, attempted to set up my new DVD player, but that failed miserably … I suck at electronics … then saw Shaune and we got Red Bull at 7-Eleven and shopped at Tysons and Fair Oaks … checked with Nicole at work and didn’t have to go in, which I was glad about. I also got the Trust Company CD at Tower … but haven’t listened to it yet ’cause I’m still on Saliva. Might do that tomorrow when I head home.

Speaking of tomorrow, I hope it’ll be better than today … Kristen’s supposed to be coming, though she hasn’t called, which she said she would do the last time we talked. Then Dad gets home tomorrow night with all my presents and what not, which will be nice … dunno if Ross is coming with him … I’d prefer it if he stayed at school … I don’t wanna deal with his crap. But since I’m never lucky, scratch that out.

Well … I’m out. Updates are needed. And I wonder if Brad really got Neush a diamond ring … ’cause if he did, that would so go against everything he’s been saying about her.
