The Sugarcult concert was awesome! I got a second shirt to add to my collection, an Autopilot Off poster, and a red sticker (ooh ahh) that I got autographed by one of the guitar guys at the end. Rufio was cool except I could barely hear what they were saying. Autopilot Off had a song or two I liked (I think one was “Wake Up”), Sugarcult was awesome (of course — go “Pretty Girl” and lighters!), and The Ataris (who I hadn’t really heard of) had two songs I actually knew: “Teenage Riot” and “01/15/96.” Their song “My Reply” was really good, too … gotta remember to download it. And is it just me, or do the lead singer of The Ataris and one of the Sugarcult guys look really alike? I dunno … I just know I thought they were the same person at first
I also got to experience the mosh pit for most of the concert, which was definitely fun. Gotta try crowd surfing next time. And it was funny, all the people in the pit were like hardcore fans, and I had no idea about anything. I was just like hehe yeah, go me. Ooh, and guess what else — I met up with my friend Charlotte from Yorktown that I hadn’t seen in years — I don’t even know how she recognized me, but it was definitely cool to see her again. Maybe we’ll hang out sometime, seeing as how she goes to Mason and lives in Falls Church.
Anyway … and today was actually pretty productive. Spent most of it at Tysons and at home dealing with job stuff. It was crazy … okay, first I went to PacSun where originally I was gonna have an interview and be done with it. But no … since I’d be going away for Christmas, they just said to come back for summer break. So I was like okay, fine, that’s understandable. Then I had lunch (go Chinese food) and decided to see if Gap was hiring. They were, of course, and somehow I get there right before their group interview. They tell me to come to that, so I’m like uh okay, why not? I felt bad ’cause I just kinda left Brian, but I couldn’t really do anything else. Oh well, he found a shirt there, so it’s not a total loss
So yeah, I do the frickin’ hour-long interview, and then the lady tells me I need references (which I stupidly don’t have), so I go home, call Dad to get PacSun and both Bill’s numbers, call Gap, call the Bill’s, call PacSun, and then Dad again. LOL. So now I have another interview at PacSun tomorrow at 12:30 (yay) … and Gap has my references and my references know that they may be referenced. Haha. Or something
Yeah … so it’s all good.
Umm … don’t think there’s much else … except that Brian’s awesome ’cause he writes me poems that don’t suck
So *hugs* to him. And bye for now!
