Home for Thanksgiving.

Arrow Wednesday, October 9, 2002 @ 3:32 pm

Today’s been cool — at least after I got the stupid paper over with. I don’t have riding, so I’m probably gonna go soon and do some college stuff. I have a microbiology test tomorrow, which sucks … but I just gotta study and I should be alright. Oh yeah, and Dad emailed me, and he said we might actually stay home this year for Thanksgiving — um woah, talk about a change of scenery! I don’t think we’ve EVER stayed home, lol. But hey, I’m not complaining — it gives me more days with Brian  Well, sorta … we’re apparently going up anyway from November 30th - December 2nd to give Mary a surprise birthday party. So yeah. And this is random, but cool — they got new clothes in the PX! I got some pants before lunch, hehe. Well, gotta go check email now, so bye!

Short study hall.

Arrow Tuesday, October 8, 2002 @ 10:31 pm

So maybe means no.

OMG, how is it 10:20 already? All I did during study hall was work on my stupid paper, and I only have 2 pages (out of 5) done. How pathetic is that? *sigh* I hate BR, it’s so annoying. And I still have math and microbiology to do tonight. Greeaat. Guess who’s gonna be up ’til 3. Good thing I don’t have riding tomorrow — I specifically planned it like that so I wouldn’t kill myself. So go me. Or something. ‘Cause otherwise I wouldn’t make it. And all these sniper shootings are freaking me out … if it keeps happening, I’m gonna be paranoid when I go home … ’cause all the targeted counties are around mine … and yeah. It’s kinda scary. Blaaah. I don’t wanna go back and work … it needs to be the weekend so I can sleep.

Still modem-less, Chinese, microbiology.

Arrow Monday, October 7, 2002 @ 7:47 am

An entry I wrote while in PA:

October 5, 2002 @ 7:55 pm

Okay, well right now I’m at Aunt Ann’s house, and my modem is still freakin’ broken, so I can’t get online. Grr. Why can’t it be compatible with all operating systems? Geez. But oh well.

We’re supposed to go get Chinese food soon, so that should be good. I also just did about half of microbiology reading assignment 3 — I hate how you have to search and search the book for the answers, and then you don’t even find half of them. It’s so annoying. I was surprised with the last one when I actually found everything in the book. But not this current one … I can barely find anything *sigh* I guess I’ll just find the rest online or something.

*fast forward 3 hours*

OMG, my computer’s so hot. LOL, I guess I better end this soon before this thing starts to melt. Anyway, we’re back from Chinese (obviously), which was cool. It was funny, I got the cheapest thing on the menu (beef lo mein) and it ended up being the biggest dish. I was like score. Haha. And our fortune cookies came with orange slices, which was different, but good. My fortune said something like, “be a good friend, especially if he owes you something.” *shrugs*

And I was just trying to watch Whose Line, but there was a stupid baseball game on instead. I hate it when that happens, lol. But oh well … so then I watched the end of Men In Black, and now I’m watching the news.

But anyway, I’m gonna go to bed soon. Bye!

Oh yeah, I called Brian earlier today, and know what sucks? He didn’t get his new job … which he was so sure he would be hired for. I don’t get it, he’s perfectly qualified for it … but then again, like he said, it’s probably for the better, ’cause he wouldn’t wanna work with people like that anyway.

Yeah … and last night sucked ’cause I realized how much crap (coIlege stuff, paper, senior page, pictures, work, etc.) I gotta do this week *sigh*

Sore arm, guys suck.

Arrow Thursday, October 3, 2002 @ 11:37 pm

Going to Pennsylvania tomorrow — should be cool. And ow. My arm still hurts … stupid horse  And Brad’s being a bitch, as usual … and Justin wants me to come visit him sometime. I was like uhh I dunno, and told him why. But at least he understands. Unlike some people. I also went to Goodwill tonight and got some cool pants. Hehe.

Double free, Tech guy, falling off.

Arrow Tuesday, October 1, 2002 @ 6:40 pm

Yeah, today’s been really busy … even though I had a sleep-in (which was awesome) and a double free, lol. During my double free I tried to get my modem to work (’cause it hasn’t since I upgraded to XP) … and I asked Ms. Blue and she said to go to gateway.com and look for drivers and the kind of modem I have … so I did all that (except the drivers were being annoying), and when I’m done I can’t find her … so I email her, and she hasn’t replied. Grr. But oh well … hopefully she will before I leave tomorrow.

I still can’t believe I have like a 5-day weekend. I keep forgetting that I can leave at 12 tomorrow, lol. And I saw the VA Tech guy today, he was pretty cool. The only people who came were me, Erica, and Lindsay — if Erica applies, she’ll definitely get in, and probably Lindsay too, but not me, haha. I don’t have the grades, but for my major (fine art/graphic design), the minimum SAT score is 1000, so that’s already taken care of.

Anyway, after that I had riding … and I fell off. It sucked. My shoulder and thumb hurt a little, but that’s all. I was riding Groovin’ (which I don’t do very often) and we were cantering around Big Track — and I guess he spooked at an opening in the fence, ’cause one second everything was fine and the next he stops dead in his tracks and I fly over his head, haha. In the air I was like, oh crap. I haven’t fallen off since sophomore year, and even that was with jumping. But oh well *shrugs* Luckily when I got up he didn’t run off when I approached him (it would’ve sucked if he did, ’cause Big Track is huge). Part of his bridle was off, too, and he was being head-shy about it so it took me awhile to move it back into position. But I didn’t get back on ’cause I figured we were both freaked out enough, and it was almost time for me to go in anyway. So yeah. That was my little drama for the day.

Oh, and our room didn’t win the door-decorating contest. We so should have … but unfortunately, we don’t have the supplies to make a 6-foot-wide rope spiderweb with a spider. So pssh

Well, g2g now and do homework and laundry … so adios. Speaking of work, I got my microbiology test back today … and I got a 69 *sigh* Stupid notes, critical thinking, and questions that weren’t even in the notes, and apparently had to spontaneously remember from 3 years ago (wtf?). It also didn’t help that I barely had enough time to finish it. I’m starting to realize that I wasn’t kidding when I told myself freshman year to never take bio again. But oh well …

18 hours ’til I free!
