Cleveland rocks?

Arrow Saturday, July 20, 2002 @ 5:56 pm

La la la … I’m just sitting here in my hotel room in Cleveland … trying to decide whether to have dinner here first and then go to Cedar Point, or just eat out somewhere. I’m hoping for room service, ’cause they have grilled cheese, which rocks  Hehe.

And man, I’m tired. I don’t think I got much sleep last night … and Shaune was right, I was gonna get busted sooner or later for always staying out past my curfew, lol. My dad was still awake when I got home (I walk up the steps, see the door partially open, and am like “fuck”). He said that he had to call Brian and leave him a message ’cause he didn’t know where I was, and if I come back late again, he’s taking away my car  Grr. I guess I deserve it, especially after the whole birthday party thing … but hey, it was worth it. I just shouldn’t do it for awhile. Also, now I’m more skeptical about condo party #2 next weekend. My dad probably doesn’t trust me as much as he did, and might call Shaune’s that night to see what was up. I dunno if I should even go … I really want to, but also don’t want to get into more trouble than I already am. So yeah. Dunno what to do about that. I have a week to decide.

Anyway. Oh yeah, Brian sent me an email from myself today, haha  I guess it’s both good and bad to be able to do that … good for me, bad for other people lol. Well, not much else is going on, so I’m gonna go now and wait for the food to come (we decided to get room service). Bye!

Shopping cures all.

Arrow Friday, July 19, 2002 @ 1:31 am

I went on the biggest shopping spree today! I’m so happy, hehe. Okay, first I went to Gap, and I got three shirts there. One is a black collared shirt (for school), one is this brown stretch shirt, and the other is this tight, light blue t-shirt that was on sale for $4  Then I went to Pac Sun, and got this cool black shirt that laces up in the front, some sporty shorts, black flip flops with grommets, and a silver choker with star pendants (all for $45!). THEN (lol), I decide to go to Goodwill, and there I find three CDs, all for $10, that I’ve been wanting, and this cool pair of Mudd jeans with the leg bottoms frayed for $6. So yay! I dunno why, but no matter what mood I’m in before shopping, I always finish with a smile. And yeah, that was corny, but oh well

Anyway, well I gotta go now or else my dad will get pissed … and plus, I gotta get some sleep ’cause tomorrow I need to pack like crazy, and then hang out with Brian after work  Bye!

Mini golf, Boulevard Grill, rings.

Arrow Thursday, July 18, 2002 @ 1:40 pm

Grr … my head hurts. Maybe it’s from sleeping weird … but oh well. Who cares. I should go to the store, mall, and the cool Clarendon store sometime today. Dunno what I’ll get (if anything) … might go to Goodwill too. They have awesome cheap CDs. Oh yeah, and I should probably start getting ready for Saturday, since we’re leaving at frickin’ 9 am *sigh* Guess I can’t stay out late that night.

Oh yeah, and last night. It went pretty well. Mini golf was fun, I won, and actually got a hole in one (wow, I’m a poet and didn’t know it … lol). So go me. We had dinner in Clarendon at this place called the Boulevard Grill or something. Pretty good, except they were low on dessert. Found out that Brian’s mother probably won’t approve of me … since I’m kinda tall, 5 years younger, and wear rings, nail polish, and flip flops. Great. But hey, the nail polish thing probably won’t last long, since I’m too lazy to keep it up at school. I only wear flip flops when it’s hot … ’cause wearing shoes feels icky. And rings … yeah, rings are cool. It just depends what kind of mood I’m in. Some days I’ll get all decked out, other days I won’t. Like if it’s really hot or cold, I won’t.

But yeah … gonna go do some other stuff now, so adios.

15 minutes, lo mein.

Arrow Monday, July 15, 2002 @ 12:53 pm

Woah … I am so good. LOL, I don’t know how I did it, but I managed to make it home from Brian’s in 15 minutes! Haha, I went like 70 the whole way, and I think the time gods were with me, too. ‘Cause even though I was a few minutes late, my dad didn’t give me a lecture when I walked in, even after looking at the clock. So yay! Now I know that if I really need to, I can make it back in about 15 minutes if I speed. LOL.

Aw, and know what’s cool? Here’s what Brian’s away message said tonight: “Sleeping, dreaming of my evening  ” None of my previous guys, to my knowledge, have done that (mentioned me online) … so it’s good to know that even when I’m gone, I’m not forgotten. And also, I dunno why … but he’s like the first guy I can really talk to. Yeah, I did with the others, but it was rare … and when it did happen, we were either fighting or getting back together *sigh* So yeah … plus, he told me flat-out that he’d never lie, cheat, or get mad. That’s like, the number one thing I’m paranoid about with guys, ’cause they’re either away, busy, or don’t call you … and it’s such a relief to know that the whole species isn’t screwed up like that. LOL. Well, my dad’s making me go to bed in a few minutes … but I’ll talk to everyone later, eventually. Bye!

P.S. I feel gross. I just ate like half the carton of beef lo mein that Brian and I ordered tonight, and it didn’t help that what I thought was meat was a mushroom (yuck). But oh well … I’ll be fine tomorrow if I don’t eat that much.

Concrete Blond, Soho.

Arrow Sunday, July 14, 2002 @ 11:41 am

Okay, the concert was weird. At least Concrete Blonde was … as well as the first artist, Corey Harris, who was a mix of reggae and soul … kinda like Jimi Hendrix/Santana/Lenny Kravitz I guess. They had like one good song, but then Shaune was like, umm wanna get something to eat? I agreed lol.

I forget who the second group was, but they were pretty awesome, and played music that reminded me exactly of Jason LeVasseur  Now the third group, Graham Colton, was my favorite. The lead singer could be the clone of the lead guy from the Goo Goo Dolls, and they were so nice! They kept thanking us for coming out to support new music ’cause a lot of cities don’t do that. So yay. I wanted to get a CD or t-shirt, but didn’t wanna break my $100 bill, haha … and also knew I’d lose my place in the front if I went. But oh well, they’ll probably come here again soon. And the 4th group, Concrete Blonde … man … I just gotta say that they were very different. The lead singer and guitarist wore matching outfits on purpose, the guitarist was old, and the lead singer was about 25. I was like umm what? The drummer guy was awesome, though — most of their songs had a strong bass part, which he performed nicely, hehe.

Then omg, during this one song, they had pre-recorded music playing while this freaky old mime guy came out onstage while the girl sang this slow goth song. I swear, I would totally not be expecting this type of show if I’d heard their music beforehand … ’cause don’t get me wrong, their songs were awesome — I just didn’t really like their live appearance. Plus, we had somehow managed to find a spot right next to the speakers, so towards the end my left ear started hurting on and off and I could barely hear anything for like 5 minutes once it was over. It kinda sucked, but oh well. At least I know for future reference that the speakers are not my friend

Anyway, after the concert, we do our usual walk to Soho for coffee, but instead of taking the metro back to Courthouse … we decide to walk. From Dupont Circle. Which isn’t exactly an around-the-block deal … but it was still cool to look at houses on the way, and then we met up with Ying and Shaun (the guy) after crossing Key Bridge. And I didn’t get tired! But that was probably from the coffee and part of Shaune’s cinnamon bun I had lol.

Oh yeah, and guess what? Shaune’s having another condo party in two weeks! Yay! Hehe, it’s gonna be awesome (and hopefully Brian can come) … I just gotta think of something new to tell my dad, ’cause if he found out … man. I’d be dead.

Well, gonna go get ready to do something productive today … so adios! Hopefully that will include seeing Brian.

Pretty girl, Lupin, Louie.

Arrow Saturday, July 13, 2002 @ 1:32 pm

I love this song, and I dedicate it to Brad *sigh*:

Pretty girl is suffering, while he confesses everything
Pretty soon she’ll figure out what his intentions were about
And that’s what you get for falling again
You can never get ‘em out of your head
And that’s what you get for falling again
You can never get ‘em out of your head

It’s the way
That he makes you feel
It’s the way
That he kisses you
It’s the way
That he makes you fall in love

She’s beautiful as usual with bruises on her ego and
Her killer instinct tells her to be aware of evil men
And that’s what you get for falling again
You can never get ‘em out of your head
And that’s what you get for falling again
You can never get ‘em out of your head

Pretty girl, pretty girl

Pretty girl is suffering, while he confesses everything
Pretty soon she’ll figure out
You can never get ‘em out of your head

Last night Brian came over to watch my Lupin movie … after “Reign of Fire” lol. It was pretty awesome, except he was allergic to something in my basement, so when it was over we went out on my deck for like 2 hours … and as usual, didn’t end up getting to bed until like 4 am haha.

And tonight I’m going to another DC Sessions concert with Shaune and Willi. Hopefully it’ll be cool … but I’m pissed ’cause I was really looking forward to going to the Sister Hazel one next Saturday. But no. We just have to go to Cleveland on that specific day. Grr. But oh well … I saw them at the Fairfax Fair, so it’s not too bad.

Oh yeah, and Louie un-blocked me! He said he was never mad at me, just needed to back away and have time to think about stuff. But then he was like, I don’t like Brian, I never will, and if given the opportunity to hurt him, I’ll take it. So *sigh* … it sucks. Just how long is it gonna take for him to realize that Brian isn’t a “sexual predator?”

SAT II scores, party.

Arrow Thursday, July 11, 2002 @ 10:57 pm

Fuck Blogger, I had this long-ass entry written out, but then my computer froze and I lost it all. But oh well … it basically said how I’m still tired from last night with Brian even though I didn’t do shit today. Eh, maybe that’s why. My song right now is “Pretty Girl (The Way)” by Sugarcult. It describes exactly what it was like with Brad *sigh*

But yeah … tomorrow is Friday, and I think I’m seeing “Reign of Fire” with Brian, so that’ll be cool. Plus, Shaune’s back, so hopefully we’ll have another Georgetown night soon.

And fuck, I got my SAT II scores back today … and I’ll just say that they suck. Hell, I was in the 14th percentile for something. WTF? I’m hoping I accidentally skipped a row of questions or something … and that it’s not my real score.

Oh … and yay. Shaune’s having a party in 3 weeks, and asked me if Brian could buy us drinks. I’ll ask him tomorrow, and if he says yes and everything goes well, I sense another birthday-like-night coming on (aww), hehe. And maybe this time Erica and Julie will actually be here and able to come. Yay.

Man, and I dunno why, but all food sounds gross to me now except for the Oreo Kahlua thing that Brian had last night, lol. Maybe I’m just really out of it.
