Career Day.

Arrow Saturday, March 4, 2000 @ 1:48 pm

Well, Career Day wasn’t that bad. Two out of the three people that I met were actually interesting, and I even got a stress ball from the lady that I didn’t like. Pretty cool, huh? The trip to the Air & Space Museum yesterday was so tiring … just don’t even ask. Okay, we had to walk around for five hours, and on top of that, I stupidly brought my heavy backpack. And this is a first, as well — the IMAX film that everyone saw made me dizzy. I think it was because we were all sitting in the second row from the front, but it’s still kinda weird. I mean, I can go onto the Steel Phantom with no problem at all, but some little IMAX film makes me dizzy. Hmm … Oh, and remind me to never go into the Hirshhorn Museum again. The art there was just plain freaky, and who in their right mind would make a gigantic stick of butter out of yellow wax, put it on a gigantic wrapper, place it in the middle of a bare wooden floor, and call it art? And who would make a bloody soldier head out of concrete and make the nose out of a bomb? Sometimes I just don’t understand this world, even though I am an artist (somewhat) …

I get to go flying tomorrow! Yay!

Interim.

Arrow Thursday, March 2, 2000 @ 5:07 pm

Well, interim is okay, except for that stupid little teacher in period 3 who thinks that whatever she says about women in sports is right. Personally, I don’t agree with anything that she says, but oh well. And it’s not like she’s gonna listen to me, either. But anyway, tomorrow we get to go to the Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC. It should be fun since we get to see IMAX movies and stuff (which are really awesome), but the downside is that we have to wear dress code, and I also don’t have any money, so I probably won’t be able to get any food or soveniers there. But oh well, at least I’m going. And I also really don’t wanna have to sit through the whole career day thing this weekend, ’cause all we’re gonna do is like sit there and listen to some old lady talk about how some boring job that she has is cool. Oh, joy.

I get to go flying on Sunday! Yay!
